In 1982, Lebanon stood at a historic crossroads. A window opened for peace with Israel; an agreement that could have spared generations of Lebanese from war, instability, and foreign domination. But that moment was lost, not because the people didn’t want peace, but because our nation was shackled by external influences, sectarian divisions, and the dominance of militias and agendas that did not serve the interests of Lebanon.
Today, in 2025, we are once again facing a similar moment; one that is perhaps even more urgent, and potentially more transformative. Lebanon is exhausted. Our people are drained by economic collapse, political paralysis, and a loss of national sovereignty. We cannot afford to miss this opportunity like we did in 1982.
PEACE is not submission. Peace is strength. It is sovereignty. It is the reclaiming of our national dignity. Contrary to what some may fear-monger, Israel does not have territorial ambitions in Lebanon. There are no designs to occupy, no desire to control. Israel seeks security and normal relations, just as we seek stability and the freedom to build a prosperous future.
A peace accord between Lebanon and Israel (under a framework that respects our unique identity and historical role in the region) would not be a betrayal. It would be an act of national liberation. It would be a #CedarAccords: rooted in our own history, our own values, and our own interests.
Let us not let fear or outdated ideologies rob our children of the future they deserve. We must rise above the narratives of the past, and embrace the promise of a new dawn.
The door to peace is open; this time, let us walk through it.

Jews bless the Sabbath on Saturday, and Maronites bless Sunday (Ħad Bshabo, the first day of the week) as the day of the Resurrection. The day is different, but it's the same way of keeping a holy day for the same God of Israel, which puts Maronites in the same Semitic tradition.

نحو ٢٠٠٠٠ ألف مسيحي غادروا لبنان خلال عام ٢٠٢٥، وفق تقديرات مستندة إلى إحصاءات خاصة وبيانات الهجرة المتاحة.
رقم تقريبي حتى الآن لكنه يكشف حجم النزيف الديموغرافي الذي يضرب الوجود المسيحي في لبنان.
المسألة لم تعد مجرد هجرة بحثاً عن فرص عمل أو حياة أفضل، بل تحوّلت إلى تهديد وجودي يطال مستقبل مجتمع متجذّر في هذه الأرض، وتاريخه وهويته.
والأخطر أن كل موجة هجرة جديدة تجعل العودة أكثر صعوبة، وتُفرغ قرى وبلدات من أجيالها الشابة.

During the war in Lebanon, we were right to focus on freeing Achrafieh and Zahle from the Syrian occupation, but wrong to leave Kfarhay, the birthplace of the Maronite Nation, under occupation. We fought without understanding the Maronite history of our land, and that was one of the reasons we lost.

Le Liban se meurt😥❤️
À l’image d’une cellule qui dégénère, un pays peut perdre progressivement ses fonctions vitales. Ses institutions s’affaiblissent, son tissu social se désagrège, ses repères s’effondrent et sa capacité à se renouveler disparaît.
C’est ce qu’on appelle une dégénérescence : un processus progressif de dégradation qui finit par compromettre la survie de l’organisme.
Le Liban n’est pas simplement en crise. Il est en déclin, en décomposition institutionnelle et sociale. Il perd ses forces vives, ses compétences, sa jeunesse, sa confiance et, surtout, sa capacité à se projeter dans l’avenir.
Un pays peut conserver son drapeau, son hymne, ses frontières et même ses institutions en apparence, tout en perdant peu à peu ce qui fait de lui un véritable État.
Le Liban est encore vivant sur le papier, mais il se meurt dans sa réalité.
Et le plus tragique dans cette lente agonie, c’est qu’on finit par considérer comme normal ce qui devrait nous alarmer.

🚨 نداء إلى مسيحيّي لبنان:
الخطر المحدق بكم قد يكون أخطر مما تتصورون!
إما أن تتمسكوا بأرضكم، وهذا لن يتحقق إلا بامتلاك قراركم السياسي ومصيركم، وصولاً إلى #الانفصال كخيار خلاصي وجودي وهوياتي، لعلكم تحافظون على ما تبقى من وجودكم وهويتكم وخصوصيتكم التاريخية.
وإما #الهجرة
نعم، الهجرة! وهذا ليس تهويلاً، بل واقعاً مدعوماً بأرقام وأعداد ( وقد عوضنا لها في تغريدات عدة) وأحداث، يجب أن تواجهوه قبل أن يصبح مفروضاً عليكم، وهذا ما يحصل اليوم بآليات ناعمة!
أما الاستمرار في ترداد شعارات الوحدة والشراكة والعيش المشترك والرسالة، فيما تتآكل مقومات وجودكم، فليس سياسة ولا مشروعاً للمستقبل.
قادتكم وأحزابكم يضللونكم بخطابات ومبادئ لم تعد تجيب عن أسئلة المرحلة، ولا تتناسب مع خارطة جديدة لمشرق عربي يتبدل أمام أعينكم.
ما ترونه من دبلوماسيات وزيارات وتصريحات، وما تسمعونه من شمشونيات ووعود، لن يغيّر الوقائع الميدانية والديمغرافية والمؤسساتية.
العالم يتغير، والخرائط يعاد تشكيلها. الانفصال والضم والاسترجاع والتقاسم باتت من أدوات الصراع على النفوذ والأرض والهوية.
انظروا إلى مسيحيّي المشرق: أين أصبحوا؟
ومن قال لكم إنكم بمنأى؟ ومن أقنعكم بأن مجرد كونكم (رسالة) يجعل وجودكم محصّناً؟ أي رسالة هذه التي لا تملك مشروعاً يحمي أصحابها وأرضهم ومستقبل أجيالهم؟!
لا تراهنوا على امتيازات الماضي، ولا على ضمانات لا تملكون أدوات فرضها.
ندق ناقوس الخطر! وما تخبئه المرحلة المقبلة أخطر مما تتصورون.
لا تنتظروا وقوع المحظور، ولا تعيشوا أسرى اللحظة. اقرأوا المستقبل من خلال المعطيات الميدانية والديمغرافية والمؤسساتية، وابدأوا التفكير جدياً بخياراتكم الوجودية قبل أن يفوت الأوان.
فالانفصال، في هذا الطرح، ليس هروباً من الواقع، ولا حقدا على أحد أو كرهاً لا سمح الله، بل بحثاً عن صيغة تحفظ الوجود والهوية والقرار .
