Busy north London high street permanently bans traffic after successful trial trib.al/wG7sslt
It will be months before we can really judge the impacts of the #OxfordStreet transformation programme, but it felt pretty good there yesterday afternoon in the company of @speakerboxparty and others. #london

Reminder:
It’s ok to transition.
It’s ok to go on HRT.
It’s ok to want SRS.
It’s ok to want top surgery.
It’s ok to be dysphoric.
Society is full of anti-transitioning activism, from subversivists to religious conservatives.
Don’t let them tell you what being trans is.

“Traders on Oxford Street are saying they are enjoying a boost in sales and footfall after the first week of pedestrianization…. Businesses say they are happy with the changes.”
Streets for people are also good for business. Spread the word.

If you’re a man and you want to chop your cock off and be a woman, I simply do not care. If you’re a woman and want to grow a cock, by all means, have it. Go be whatever the fuck you want. I support your right to do whatever it is you want with your body. It’s none of my business. I don’t care. Why are you coming at me about this??? Do you understand how crazy you come off just messaging me about this random shit? Go do something productive.

Perhaps the most messed up aspect above all, is how no one will be held accountable for this - illegal parking is treated as the norm, and RapidKL will not be held liable for not running bus services as scheduled

New in PN: We’ve blown past mere “transphobia”
"Hitler used hatred of Jewish people to try to build power, and then he used that power to eliminate Jewish people. The Republican Party has a similar relationship to trans hate. They hope it will help them win elections. But they also hope that winning elections, and funding anti-trans propaganda, will allow them to eliminate trans people." publicnotice.co/p/trump-repu…

Kasane Teto from "Birdbrain (w/ OK GLASS)" is actually transgender?
You can tell because she's red, white and yellow, just like the flag of Selangor!

Malaysia has always been an insane place btw. In the 1990s and early 2000s, their imports were nearly 100% of GDP and exports well over a 100% of their GDP. Still blows my mind every time I look at this chart.
Wtf is Malaysia doing? By 2030, a quarter of its peak power demand will come from data centres! From ~2% to 25% in 6 years is insane.

Drastic changes to its ETS services starting 2027: more trips (and extras on weekends) across the board, but at the expense of long-haul routes like Penang-JB being split in half at KL Sentral, necessitating a train change at KL Sentral, perhaps for the better due to seat maths…

I still believe that the KLCC Park is one of the best things that have happened in KL since the 1990s.
The site used to host a polo club for the elites, now it’s an example of the democratization of green spaces, moving from exclusion to inclusion (for all to enjoy).

Make no mistake, the organized NIMBY landowner lobby wants to make it impossible to build any new housing, including affordable housing
Remember: Singapore build the HDB we know today using a strong LAA to break the power of these sort of landlords and landowners
A KL residents' group has filed a constitutional challenge against the Land Acquisition Act, citing concerns over procedural fairness and government powers.
KLRA+SD is challenging Sections 3(1)(b) and (c), which allow compulsory land acquisition for economic development and residential or commercial projects.
"Compulsory land acquisition must not be treated as an unrestricted exercise of governmental power."
