🇬🇪🇪🇺Today marks 700 days of daily protests in Georgia against Ivanishvili’s oppressive, pro-Russian regime.
On 28 November, de facto Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced Georgia’s EU accession negotiation talks would be halted until 2028, triggering mass protests. Since then, Georgians have been gathering outside the parliament every day to protest against the decision.
Over the 700 days, up to 450 citizens have been detained over politically motivated charges. Over 80 prisoners of conscience are currently held captive by the regime on criminal charges. Despite the Georgian Dream government’s attempts to silence the population through oppressive laws, police brutality and violence against protesters, Georgians continue fighting for their European future to this day.

Sergey Nalobin, a Russian ‘diplomat’ who launched the ‘Conservative Friends of Russia’ group has now been identified as a Russian intelligence officer involved in an attempted European disinformation campaign.
Nalobin called Boris Johnson a good friend and was quick to congratulate Vote Leave Chief Matthew Elliott on his engagement. Elliott was a founder member of the Conservative Friends of Russia, and in 2012 went on a 10-day trip to Moscow with all expenses paid by the Russian government.
The British authorities repeatedly refused to investigate Russian interference in the Brexit campaign and the UK’s broader politics. However, Nalobin was looking for a way to channel money into the Conservative Party in the early 2010s, and the Tories received many donations from Russian oligarchs resident in the UK. The article provides details of how Nalobin orchestrated Russian interference in Estonian politics, so it is very likely that he was playing the same role in the UK.
Putin wanted Brexit. The Tories delivered it, and unfortunately every British government since then has covered up the extent and nature of Russian interference in British politics.

The Conservatives spent years promising Brexit would boost the economy. Now, when asked if it actually did, their leader needed a shove to say yes.
They left the country with weaker growth and a mess of their own making. The lectures can wait.

I was 2nd in the MPs’ queue from 7.30am this morning (behind Des Swayne) for a prayer card to reserve a seat and there was no sign of Farage then.
I didn’t see him come to prayers at 11.30am to come and claim a seat then either.
