Putting aside the selfish narcissism it requires to hold your own happiness as the highest good, this mindset also fails 99% of women when actualized. It’s not “patriarchy” that you may struggle to find the man of your dreams as a divorced 45 year old. The “sisterhood” is just miserable women pulling happy women into the abyss with them.
"Call Her Daddy" host Alex Cooper & actress Sophia Bush: if a woman is questioning whether she can do better than her current husband, "the answer is always yes." "This idea that it's too late or you're too old, or who are you to want more, that's patriarchy. That is crazy."

Such a sad story. Grief is a terrible thing but it is the price we pay for loving someone. The more we love, the more we grieve. This poor guy went through an awful lot.

I think everyone can see this is a bit hypocritical to say the least. If we’re told we have to keep ‘geopolitics’ out of the classroom then it needs to be applied equally across the board.
The British government has been accused of hypocrisy after saying pupils should not display Palestine flags in school, despite the government having promoted the displaying of Ukrainian flags in schools and made other political statements on Ukraine mee.s.gy/or5AFE

The biggest problem at school is and always has been bullies. That affects/has affected thousands of children.

I asked my 14 year old, ans she had no idea or recollection of any at her school. Bullies, yes. No antisemitism though

In contrast to today, when we were growing up in the 1970s & 80s we never heard the word ‘anti-semitism’. I can honestly say in my childhood I wouldn’t even know what it meant.

We need a podcast that is an antidote to podcasts.

I agree and, equally to the point, there are only 24 hours in a day so there's no time to look at most podcasts anyway.

There are too many podcasts. Too much talking for the sake of it. Too many ‘shock-jocks’. Too much noise. One has to take a break from it every now & then & get out and enjoy the ‘real world’ as it can be overwhelming.

Best drama series ever? A very strong candidate. They simply don’t make drama this good any more. Do try and watch today’s episode on @TPTVEncore if missed.
The next episode follows in 30 minutes! ENEMY AT THE DOOR (1978) at 6pm #TPTVsubtitles

Nottm Forest 0 Arsenal 1. Perhaps the most predictable result of the season. Forest have played five games at home this season and still have yet to score. That’s over 460 minutes of football (nearly 8 hours) at the City Ground without a goal. That’s an incredible stat for a team that has been pretty good at home the last few years.

IMF pushing the targeting of the state pension and welfare. Always doing the bidding of Big Capital.
Target pensions or welfare, don't tax banks, neoliberal IMF tells UK Chancellor. Silence on corporate welfare, bank subsidies and profiteering; poverty, equitable distribution of income and wealth. Sacrificing old, poor, sick to the gods of fiscal rules. theguardian.com/business/202…
