One reason I am sanguine about the technological singularity is that I have seen it coming for over 50 years. In 1975, when I was 17, I wrote:
"Before man can most effectively aid his problem solving machinery, he must first understand it. At present, his understanding is very poor. However, when the breakthrough in understanding the brain occurs, improvement will come very fast and in an exponential increase. Once man has created an intelligence greater than his own, that intelligence should be able to create an intelligence greater than itself, as man whose intelligence is less than its was able to create its intelligence. Thus, the level of intelligence will shoot up with incredible rapidity, probably within the space of years. Within a few years of a breakthrough, which may occur any time now, man will either have been left behind by a superior intelligence of his own making, which he can no longer understand, or he will have become that intelligence and will no longer be like anything imaginable today."
Email is dead bro
email was always an externally writable database that masqueraded as a communication tool. this is why spam was such a huge problem because anyone with your address could insert a record & potentially demand your attention.
agents break this relationship.
this is lots of implications for the attention economy. one of the obvious being that your 100k subscriber newsletter or any other form writing you send to it, or any other form of email marketing is worth less than ever before.
The era of subsidies is over
🚨Codex Users!!!
Codex limits are getting cut in half tomorrow,
and I genuinely don't understand the logic behind paying $200 for a 10x OpenAI plan.
Astra 6 and Sol 6.1 just don't justify that price for power users.
Who thought this was a good move? Because Anthropic looks like the biggest winner here.
Opus 5.5 is becoming the only serious option for people paying $200 for a 20x plan.
And as more power users move to Claude Code, Anthropic gets more usage, more feedback, and more real-world coding data to improve its next models.
OpenAI might be handing its biggest advantage to its competitor.
If Google is your only source of customers, you're relying on a channel you don't control.
Social content and AI are changing how people discover businesses. Build a presence where your buyers are already looking.
The best way to market is to out tech your competition
Salespeople, marketers, and advertisers all focus on what makes their jobs different. Robert Cialdini says the money is in what’s the same…
There are hundreds of tactics out there, but almost all of them come back to six or seven principles.
Nobody’s remembering 48 laws or 100 rules. You can remember seven.
And because they’re built on things about people that never change, they work the same in sales, marketing, ads, online or face to face.
He breaks down why the principles matter more than the tactics in this clip 👇
If OpenAI doesnt drop a banger tomorrow I'm canceling my ChatGPT sub and buying another claude sub for Opus 5.5
