We all use different strategies to help us stay calm. We have a lot of tactile receptors around our mouth. Bringing your hands to your mouth or hands to the middle helps us stay calm at all ages.

The idea of an egg being in there like “not you” is sending me lmaooo
The recent study that found the egg may actually 'choose' the sperm, defying Mendel’s law. The oldest law of genetics says that gametes combine randomly, but experiments hint that sometimes eggs select sperm actively for their genetic assets ow.ly/3qIN30oyZIg

We all use our sensory systems differently to help stay calm and regulated in life. Maybe you like to go for a run, swim, read, drink Prosecco. When you are little you need your parents to help you co-regulate. Regulating with your siblings works perfectly too.
