I was granted ijazah in Sharh Ma'ani al-Athar from a Hanafi scholar who told us he is not Maturidi, instead he simply sticks to the creed of the Salaf. There are many like him, but beneficial knowledge can be taken from wherever it is found.

My dear brother Jake @MMetaphysician, I had heard for a while that you had plagiarised some of your refutations against the Ahl as-Sunna Asha’ira - I ignored the rumours due to the absence of evidence. However, the following paper postulates that you have plagiarised by taking content from telegram channel(s) (as well as copying the egregious errors therein). I would honestly prefer these intricate discussions to remain private. But, since it’s already public, it’s imperative that you provide a public explanation. There’s one misrepresenting an entire body of scholars, but then there’s doing taqleed (imitation) in doing so - and Allah’s refuge is sought. It also begs the question of whether you can read the i’raab & tashkeel of these books and understand them from their original sources. I would hitherto suspend my judgment. NB: Please do not be offended by my asking for a public clarification as you would appreciate the matter warrants such a thing. May Allah bless you and protect you. Amin.

This is too low, even for Jake. Grow up mate. Btw does he even know how to read arabic so that he can access primary source materials before jumping to criticise ashai'ra? Atleast Farid and M Ali can. Not sure why Jake is so pumped all the time.

You think this is some big point you're making but it's really not. We also believe that both Allāh is a being whose existence is not impossible, like an idol. But again it's irrelevant to the question at hand. Go ahead and chest thump in front of your followers. You can duck out of any debate you like. Because you overstretched your position and made a fool of yourself stating several indefensible positions. Really such a big man, go and say all of these things to the king in whose country you have sought refuge, in Arabic. Showboaters like you are a dime a dozen. I never claimed I was anything. You're the one who carries a title in front of your name. Ball's in your court big guy.

There was a recent upload by an individual who goes by the self-proclaimed "Jake the Muslim Metaphysician" regarding his ideas about the Ash'ari position on the Qur'an being the uncreated word of Allah. I take a dim view of people who try to relitigate those issues that have already been discussed far beyond post-mortem equine assault/battery to the point that anything really worth saying, questioning or answering on the topic, has been said, and there remains little to discuss by laypeople of benefit; the discussions live in the books of knowledge as a type of intellectual exercise, and not much more, so that the students of knowledge may understand matters in a depth that benefits them, even thought it will only serve to confuse people unconcerned with having to detangle the thoughts of the confused. This video was, without exaggeration, devoid of any benefit, and I chastised those who watched it; it is a mental illness to take time out to listen to every attention craved weirdo online in the name of learning when one doesn't take time to read the actual acknowledged masters and Imams on the topic first, just like a person who would rather drink filtered toilet water, than from an artisan spring. The video was so riddled with incoherent gobbldeygook, that I can honestly say that I am dumber from having watched and listened. It was a complete waste of time and the speaker thoroughly embarrassed himself, as well as the positions he purported to defend. The opening teaser of the man's video, which was a contention that just because the Ash'aris don't consider the divine speech to be something that resembles the speech of the creation, but rather an Eternal Attribute abiding in Allah, Transcendent above time and space, somehow or another their belief is the same as the belief of idolators in idols, is not only wrong, it is a criminal incitement. Which stone or wood idol carries eternal intent or meaning transcendent above time or space? It is just a bratty inability to handle someone having a reasonable interpretation other than one's own. I'll be happy to debate him if he is so confident in his position. If you haven't watched it, do yourself a favor and just stick to reading the Imams and their books. If you want to broaden your horizons, read the books of the Ash'aris to know about the position of the Ash'aris, and likewise do for the Maturidiyyah (or who one famous Da'i working on his alif-baa, Mutroodee), Salafiyyah, Hanabilah, Taymis, Mu'tazilis and likewise for every group. If you want to have everyone take a piss in the cooler, then take it to me or someone else in order to clean it, we might do it once or twice out of some misplaced sense of obligation or holy guilt-tripping, but eventually we will all just come to the conclusion you have an undiagnosed and unacknowledged issue with peepeeophilia, and we seek refuge in Allah from the state of the people of misguidance. ***For those who watched it and are now confused, here are some resources. For a scholarly rebuttal for those who have the tools to read and understand, please read this short paper by one of the undiscovered treasures of knowledge in Kalam in the English-speaking world, Abdul Rahman Mihirig. For those who have trouble reading delicate and abstruse texts and need to have it spoonfed to them, please listen to this recent podcast of Mufti Muhammad Yasir Al-Hanafii, one of the champions of Sunni theology in the English speaking world in our age, speaking with Dr. Shadi Masri on this topic: fb.watch/uoreBSB1pD/***

The recent thumbnail issue. You want clickbait drama? Here, thumbnails for Salafis: 1. God is not perfect 2. We control God’s acts 3. God & Adam look the same 4. Salafis support the trinity! If God can be in a place, why not in Christ? It’s not nice, is it? @DrShadeeElmasry

Wood argues that Quran manuscripts have scribal errors, while Brubaker argues that these are intentional. Wood relies on the "expertise" of Brubaker, but doesn't seem to understand his argument about flexibility. Their minions cheer without realizing the contradiction. Funny.

The fact that Islamic scholars not only preserved each and every hadith narration, developed a complex grading system based on transmission chain, reliability of narrators, meticulous inspection... goes on to show how well preserved the entire deen is
Replying to @AilaSam2
But see there is a major problem, if one Hadith is weak and false then what does that say about all the other Hadith. This is why some people I know only follow the Quran
