One rookie mistake against Boston is the difference between the Nets being 2-6 and 3-5.
At 3-5, Brooklyn would be sitting 9th in the Eastern Conference, right in the Play-In picture.
Instead, they’re 13th.
It’s early, but this team is a lot closer to being competitive than its record suggests - despite the Nets product being difficult to watch at times. The door for the Nets to be competitive in the East is wide open.
At what point do the Brooklyn Nets move on from Noah Clowney as a significant part of their rotation and give Josh Minott a legitimate opportunity?
Through 7 games, Clowney is averaging:
5.4 PPG
4.9 RPG
37.9% FG
28.6% 3PT
21.6 MPG
Now in his fourth NBA season, Clowney has shown very little offensive progression. His shooting remains inconsistent, he struggles to create offense, and the overall impact simply hasn’t been there
Josh Minott deserves a legitimate opportunity in Brooklyn’s rotation.
Last season with the Nets (16 games):
10.8 PPG
49.1% FG
39.5% 3PT
1.3 SPG
0.8 BPG
19.3 MPG
Minot’s 16 game sample last year would be the best 16 game stretch of Clowney career.

At what point are we going to start seeing tangible results from Sean Marks draft picks?
Finding occasional value late in the draft is great but after nearly a decade as GM, it’s fair to expect more than flashes of potential and a collection of role players.
Eventually, that drafted talent needs to translate into meaningful development, legitimate impact players, and most importantly winning basketball…
No Keon Ellis or Moe Wagner. Great job Sean Marks
Some role players that I feel deserve a ton of love for the start to their seasons:
Karlo Matković - Pelicans
Paul Reed - Pistons
Cam Spencer - Grizzlies
Isaiah Stewart - Grizzlies
Mario Hezonja - Cavs
Landry Shamet - Knicks
Ziaire Williams - Lakers
Walter Clayton Jr. - Mavericks
Marcus Smart - Rockets
Sidy Cissoko - Blazers
Robert Williams - Blazers
Ja'Kobe Walter - Raptors
De'Anthony Melton - Warriors
Depends who is available in FA this upcoming summer. Comes down to if I would prefer to have cap space this summer or would I prefer to have Sabonis the remainder of the next 2 seasons, then maybe he signs a team friendly contract? 🤔
Nets got tired at the end. Jordi has to learn to use more of his bench on back to backs….Even just a few extra minutes keep the other guys fresh, maybe they provide a spark and you can keep them in longer
What do Knicks fans like this guy accomplish by making this same type post every 2-3 months lmao
The Brooklyn Nets have been one of the worst franchises in the league since they moved.
14 seasons in Brooklyn, two playoff series wins, and never once made it past the second round.
They went for it twice and both superteams were some of the most overrated of all time.
Pierce and Garnett cost them the picks that built the Tatum and Brown championship team. Then KD, Kyrie and Harden, one of the greatest offensive super teams on paper, won one playoff series together before everyone asked out.
And the poetic part?
The Knicks got a ring first. No shortcuts. No buying a superteam. Just a team that was built the right way.
Call me crazy but I don’t think Keon Ellis deserves to be in the Nets rotation when they’re fully healthy. I’d rather them let Saraf & Powell get those minutes and continue to develop
He looked promising
Impressive debut performance from 6-10 Norte Dame Sophomore F Brady Koehler
The native of fishers, IN impacted the game on both ends, finishing with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks on 6-13 shooting
Moves well for his height, has the ability to create of the bounce with his handle, can actually use his body to create some openings out of the PNR, I was very impressed how he processed the game then defensively was all over the place, with his length and athleticism.
