New JNIS | A coated flow diverter compatible with 0.017 inch microcatheters
In this prospective multicenter study of the AUCURA flow diverter:
96.99% achieved successful occlusion at 12 months
95.49% achieved complete occlusion
Major stroke or neurological death occurred in 1.40%
A very interesting next-generation FD concept combining a low-profile delivery system, antithrombotic coating, and strong aneurysm occlusion results.

Super large bore aspiration catheters (SLACs) in stroke thrombectomy:
📊 A systematic review of 532 patients found ~92% thrombus access, ~55% first-pass effect, and ~81% final near-complete reperfusion, with low complication rates.
🔬 Larger prospective trials are still needed to define their optimal role.
