Pretty much. The prequel revisionism exists because of The Clone Wars cartoon and the sequel trilogy sucking and people making excuses for the prequels as a result. But the prequel trilogy still sucked.
All prequel praise seems to boil down to, "Yes the acting is bad and the directing is bad and the dialogue is bad and the story isn't well-told, but the IDEAS are good."

It's also stupid because Jackson served in the State Senate and was Senate President. He has legislative experience.
What is the Collins' campaign trying to say? That working class people don't "have the tools [they] need to be effective?" Gross. What a disgustingly elitist closing week ad to put out to an electorate in a state where only half of all people have any education beyond a high school diploma.

There's something even weirder. For the Gov race, Marist lists 2% undecideds among registered voters. But that jumps to 6% among likely voters! That literally doesn't make sense. You shouldn't have a 3x increase in undecideds in a LV sample; typically, the percentage gets lower.
The other weird thing about that Marist poll in Maine is that their LV version is 10 points off from the polling average in the *governor's* race. And they show Pingree doing worse than Jackson, which no other poll does; the whole Q in Maine is about Susan Collins's strength.

Too bad ME2 just kinda ignores it. It ends with the Council acknowledging the Reapers existence to "ah yes, 'Reapers'".

This ought to be interesting. Hochul only led by 11 in their last poll and the GCB was only D+13 (both among RVs). I could maybe buy Hochul only being up 11, but I think D+13 is way too bearish for Dems. Also, let's see if Marist is still drunk when it come to their voter screens
Coming VERY soon: Who leads New York now? Find out at MIDNIGHT, when our second Marist New York Poll of the midterms is released, this time among likely voters. maristpoll.com/latest-polls

So it looks like Eisenkot's bloc will have to form a coalition with the Arab parties. That's going to be tough.
(Axios) Netanyahu bloc loses, but Eisenkot's short of clear majority Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's far-right coalition is projected to lose its parliamentary majority, but his opponent Gadi Eisenkot's bloc is short of 61 seats, according to Israeli exit polls. The exit polls shows Eisenkot's bloc with 52 to 53 seats, Netanyahu's with 50, and Arab parties with 17 to 18. axios.com/2026/10/27/netanya…

I like RCV, but I do think Alaska should switch to the Maine model. Their current system leads to a lot of ballot exhaustion.
PROP 2 UPDATE: Latest ASR numbers on Prop 2, the attempted repeal of Ranked Choice Voting... Yes, repeal RCV - 47.3% No, keep RCV - 52.7% Will they have another go in 2028, do you think?

Just for the record: Our final poll of 2024 had Slotkin up 3.7 percentage points, importantly with a significant 6.7% still undecided. detroitnews.com/story/news/p… This poll has El-Sayed up 6.3 points, with only 3.6% undecided. detroitnews.com/story/news/p…

Well, with that batch of Echelon Insights polls, I think it is safe to say that you can't accuse them of herding (which is a good thing).

We’re one week out from Election Day and there’s TON to keep track of. Lakshya, Zach & I are doing our best to follow all of the news, polls & early voting trends in every state & district. And Armin has been 100% heads down on Texas. Come nerd out with us tonight at 8:30pm ET!
Excited to announce that @lxeagle17, @Thorongil16, @admcrlsn, and I will host three X Spaces ahead of next Tuesday’s midterm elections to discuss polling, forecasts, early voting, and more. We’ll also take your questions along the way. We’ll stay flexible on topics, but here’s the rough plan: Tuesday, October 27 | 8:30–10 p.m. We’ll break down the state of play in the House and Senate, national polling, demographic trends, and the persuasion and turnout dynamics we’re watching. Friday, October 30 | 8:30–10 p.m. With early voting nearly complete across most key states, we’ll discuss what we’ve learned, including a close look at Texas with @Thorongil16. We’ll also talk about what the emerging electorate means for whom candidates need to persuade to win. Monday, November 2 | 7:30 p.m. – ??? Our final thoughts, a breakdown of key races, and what to watch as results come in Tuesday night. We’ll help you get ready to follow election night like a pro.

I am going to be starting a new playthrough on November 7th. I know it probably won't convince EA abandon the IP and sell it or license it out, but I just want to show them how beloved the franchise is. #SaveMassEffect

I try to avoid criticizing other pollsters much nowadays, but this is ridiculous. This is basically just what you do if you don't believe your polls and don't have the guts to stand by your numbers. Democrats aren't doing 7% worse with likely voters in 2026.
Marist just released its final poll of Maine—& they're doubling down on their now-trademark gap between registered & likely voters. —Jackson leads Collins 49% to 47% among LVs. —He's up 53% to 44% among RVs. (Marist's poll 3 weeks ago had Jackson leading 51/47 among RVs.)

Sigh... Gee, I wonder why his lead among registered voters is so much higher...
I swear, if the recall isn't at least D+7 I'm going to lose it.

Marist, go home, you are drunk. Their methodology seems to make no sense and there is no way Pingree and Charles are tied.

That's weird. One would think they'd want to keep that reputation as one of Michigan's best pollsters alive. Hard to do that if you don't have at least *one* poll in October.
We’re hearing EPIC-MRA won’t be releasing any more polls this cycle.

It won't work, but at least people are showing how much they love the franchise. What might make EA bring it back is if the show is a hit. But even then I think they might just license it out instead.
Let's be honest, a 200,000-300,000 petition isn't going to do a thing for EA to bring Mass Effect: Universe back. They are nice. But have we ever seen a petition work against a major gaming corp like that?

Angie, the answer is "yes, it is a dictatorship. And it should end and they should have free and fair elections with a new constitution that emphasize liberty and self determination."
#FloridaSenate Angie Nixon on whether Cuba is a dictatorship in interview with CBS News: "That is what people have told me. I have never been to Cuba, and so I will have to take their word for it."
