First time @theRCN has balloted all members for strike action in its 106-year history. It’s understandable that nurses seek redress but incomprehensible why the government has failed to publish a NHS workforce strategy for all hard pressed staff. People need hope for the future. – at London, England

Just a reminder that NOT giving #Flash #CGM to those with #T1Diabetes at present is denying them what the vast majority have. And is DELIBERATE sub-standard care If YOU want your name in the public domain as the person obstructing it? Please carry on If not? Follow the science

8 in 10 shifts lack enough nursing staff to keep you safe. A crucial way to recruit and retain enough staff to the profession is through #FairPayForNursing. It's time to tell ministers enough is enough – years of underpayment must end, for the sake of the profession and public.

Our approach to #Obesity needs rethinking. That includes the archaic structure of Tiers- and reading up on what @MichaelMarmot keeps saying... Via @bmj_latest 2020 cc @DrSdeG @kamleshkhunti @NeilFlochMD bmj.com/content/370/bmj.m303…

Fantastic that NHS England's low-calorie diet programme - inspired by the striking DiRECT results - will be expanding to give more people the chance to go into remission.
Following a successful pilot, the NHS' low calorie diet programme is being rolled out across 11 more areas in England to help people with type 2 diabetes to lose weight and have the chance to go into remission. Find out more 👇 orlo.uk/kEhFR

My god. He tried his best to get an ambulance, repeatedly calling 999 to report mum was having trouble breathing. His final call is to tell the call-handler it was too late. This is appalling. My heart goes out to this poor family. She was 56. How could this happen?
