$TSLA Q3 is out and the stock reversed lower during the call, but the bigger story is the merger talk. @elonmusk's two companies might become one. SpaceX is worth about $2T and @Tesla about $1.5T, so the combined company would be worth around $3.7T. It would be the biggest corporate merger of all time. Here's what it would mean. The most likely setup is @SpaceX buying Tesla in an all-stock deal, maybe with a small premium. So if you hold TSLA, you would end up holding SpaceX shares instead. $META Q3 earnings is out. Stock popped 4% after hours. The bull case is Muse, Meta’s AI agent. 10M+ setups in about 6 weeks, shopping is the top use case, avg purchase over $200. Zuck says it could eventually earn more per user than the apps. The bear case is the burn. Capex guided $135B to $145B for 2026. Free cash flow went negative for the first time since 2012. Now the stock split. Meta is creating a new class of non-voting stock and giving one new share to every holder for each share they own. So if you hold 100 shares, you wake up with 200. The price should roughly halve, so your total value doesn’t change on day one. The catch is that the new shares carry no vote. Zuck keeps full control, and Meta gets a stock it can use to raise money, make acquisitions and pay employees without diluting his power. Trading starts late January 2027. Market is giving him the benefit of the doubt for now. Headline operating income fell 37% because of a $9.9B charge from the August multi-state AG settlement. The yuan just did something the dollar bulls didn’t see coming. CNY/USD is at 0.1497, straight up since July. One yuan now buys more dollars than at any point in years. Flip it around and a dollar buys about 6.68 yuan. It was 7.08 last Nov. That’s roughly a 5% move in a currency China manages tightly. Why it’s moving: ▫️ Dollar is weak ▫️ China runs a massive trade surplus, so there’s constant yuan demand ▫️ US/China rate gap is narrowing China controls the yuan’s daily range, so this rally only runs as long as Beijing lets it. DEVELOPING: @AnthropicAI just tied its public benefit fund to its own valuation. 5% of the shares go in now, and the board can add 2% more every time the company’s value jumps another 50%. The more Anthropic is worth, the bigger the fund gets. Add the founder and employee pledges and Anthropic says roughly 20% of the company is headed to public good. The 5% still needs stockholder approval.
