Everyone says, “Take responsibility for your life.” But how are you supposed to do that when so many of the decisions shaping your life are made by someone else?
We're told to take control of our lives while schools, employers, governments, families, and religious institutions keep telling us what to do. And somehow, we're still expected to take responsibility for the consequences.
In this video, I question the contradictions behind personal responsibility, individual freedom, social expectations, economic dependence, citizenship, and bureaucracy. Including what happened when I tried to buy a house in Serbia and ended up in court.
If it's my life, why does everyone else get to make the decisions?

A man has suffered a severe electric shock after attempting to cut a live electrical cable. The cable reportedly came into contact with his foot or ankle, sending current through his body and causing intense muscle contractions that appeared to lock him in place.
