Krystal was the embodiment of strength & a dear friend of mine who wanted to be an officer since she was 17 y/o. She lived by a code of honor, always ready to put others before herself, & she would have given her life for those she loved. Tomorrow is her daughter's bday party💔

A mother, without her daughter.
36 Year Old Krystal Rivera left home yesterday, just another day in her job as a Chicago Police Officer.
And she will never come back through those doors.
Officer Rivera, like so many others, has made the ultimate sacrifice for the residents of Chicago. A sacrifice they risk making EVERY TIME they leave the house.
I hope we as Chicagoans remember that, and internalize it.
Officer Krystal Rivera, you will never be forgotten.
