So sad to hear this news that Tim passed away. Tim was like a father figure to me always watching my back, and a great mentor. He had a massive impact on schools and children and filled his friends and colleagues with hope. #TimbrighouseRIP

This is formal but here goes. The family of Sir Tim Brighouse are very sad to announce that Tim died in the John Radcliffe Hospital today after a short illness. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and a towering figure in the word of education. 1/

This afternoon’s @OxfordshireCC meeting has rejected a call to remove East Oxford and Cowley’s Low Traffic Neighbourhoods, and has instead voted to focus on removing congestion around them. (You can follow the full debate in our thread below!)
Replying to @OxfordClarion
The Labour amendment is carried. This means the Conservative call to “remove the LTNs” has been defeated, and the debate now continues on the amended motion that calls to “remove the congestion around the LTNs” instead.

My inner by-election alarm went off&wow, what a result to wake up to: two @alistrathern @SarahEdwardsTam our two newest @UKLabour GAINS for Mid Bedfordshire AND Tamworth. Tamworth historically big 23.9% (2nd biggest swing to Labour, from Tories, since 1945). Congratulations! 🎊

Cheers to Flos at 5! 🥳 Cutting cake with a side of community spirit as Lord Mayor of Oxford, alongside Director Laura Sewell, was a party worth remembering. Flos has thrived with amazing volunteers and it's diverse projects & partners over the years. 1/2 🧵
