Nightfall

today, my time at CROSSOVER comes to an end. shortly after wrapping up this weekend's event, i will no longer be part of the CROSSOVER team. this has been a difficult decision for me. for the last 3 years, CROSSOVER has essentially been my entire life. i have poured my heart and soul into this event, and i am proud of everything that we were able to achieve as a team. there have been weeks and even entire months where it's been all i could talk and think about. going forward, i really want to give myself the time and chance to work on my own personal projects. i'd like to explore new ways of bringing people together through anime fighting games. to achieve that, i have made the decision to depart from the CROSSOVER team. being the lead of anime games at this event has been a truly amazing experience. TOing at CROSSOVER has helped me become the person i am today, and i am grateful for everything i was able to learn. to Cece and Jam, thank you so much for believing in me and my passion for anime fighters. i believe that CROSSOVER has changed the german fighting game landscape for the better, and that is thanks to your continued efforts behind the scenes. you have always supported my ideas and endeavors the best you could, which is certainly not a given. thank you for giving anime games a place to shine at your event. to everybody at Arc System Works, Cygames, and Bandai Namco who i have had the pleasure of working with, thank you so much for your trust. your support has meant a lot to me, and i am grateful for your continued support of community-run events across the world. working on Arc World Tour, GBVS World Tour, and even DBFZ World Tour, is something i could have never imagined before. bringing Arc World Tour to germany especially has been a dream come true. thank you so much to everyone who helped make it happen. to all the talented casters who replied to my DMs and made the trip to germany, thank you so much. C4, Jonesy, Kenno, Nyhiu, Yukker, Gekiko, Deknud, Toast, Cake, Rodo, JustDave, Himeos, and R3KTZU, you are amazing. to all the international EU TOs that have helped me hands-on and given me advice on all kinds of topics, i still learn from you everyday. thank you for making me a better TO and for teaching me so much about how to run fantastic events. you know who you are. more power to you, your events, and your communities. forever. to all the people from my local, i am not a TO without you. every silly errand, every carried box, every connected cable, every psn deauthorization, every OBS crash endured, every hardware issue fixed, every camera positioned, every call listened to, every long discord message read, every google sheet set up: thank you so much for helping me pull it off. you are fgc. to everybody else who has supported me: you know who you are, and i couldn't have done it without every single one of you. thank you for listening to me ramble, thank you for offering your support at 3AM, thank you for checking in on discord, thank you for making me surprise gifts, thank you for believing in me. i really appreciate you. and finally, to all the players who have attended my anime brackets at CROSSOVER: thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for coming. you came for #GGST, #GBVSR, #GGXrd, #UNI2, #BBCF, and #DBFZ. it's because of you that i keep being a TO, and i look forward to doing more cool stuff for you in the future. i will rest as hard as i can for a while after this weekend's event, and hopefully come out recharged. connecting people has always been the most important thing to me, and that will not change. i will do everything i can to continue bringing people together. i hope to see you again offline. — blue
