Gal Gadot flew from Los Angeles to Israel to cast her vote in today's election. "I'm voting for change," she said, encouraging Israelis to vote. While she hasn't revealed which party she supports, her message suggests she may be hoping to see an end to Benjamin Netanyahu's rule.

Let's look at Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer's relationship. Interestingly, this marriage also involved a chef and a partner on the autism spectrum, but this time the roles were reversed. They married in 2018, separated in December 2025 after nearly eight years together as husband and wife, and their divorce has now been finalized. After their marriage, Schumer learned that her husband was on the autism spectrum. She publicly explained that his diagnosis helped her understand his behavior better and made her love him even more. They had a child together in 2019. Years later, as their son grew older, Schumer lost considerable weight, appeared to regain her confidence, and the marriage ended. She has denied that her weight loss or his autism had anything to do with their separation, and we cannot know everything that happened privately. But the contrast with Jamie and Jools Oliver raises an interesting point about relationships. In many marriages, the partner with greater financial resources, fame, social standing, or independence has more power to decide whether the relationship continues. Not always, of course. We've all seen people with enormous wealth, successful careers, powerful family backgrounds, and public influence who nevertheless have surprisingly little power in their personal relationships. And I'm certainly not suggesting that relationships should be power games, or that I approve of such dynamics. I'm simply acknowledging that these imbalances exist, whether we like them or not. Having the freedom to leave a marriage and choosing to remain committed to it are two different things. That's why I value loyalty and long-term commitment so highly.

They're not the exception; they're almost the rule. Even many of the most extraordinarily beautiful women in the world end up with rather ordinary-looking men. Contrary to the Matching Hypothesis, which suggests that people tend to pair with partners of similar physical attractiveness, couples who appear equally matched in looks sometimes seem to be the exception rather than the rule.
