During today’s Cowboys vs. Texans game, former @HoustonTexans Cheerleaders took the field for a special anniversary performance, and I was so proud to know Aldine ISD was well represented!
I knew getting everyone together for a picture at the game might be tough, so I asked one of the ladies to send me one from practice. And look at all that Aldine representation!
From left to right: Kristin Lopez, @NimitzHS_AISD Assistant Dance Director and alum; Cassidy Blalack-Smith, @AldineHS_AISD
Assistant Dance Director; Raeauna Slusher, @Eisenhower_AISD Dance Director; and Jermani Atkinson, @AldineEdFnd Director.
And we can’t forget Coach Casey! She wasn’t able to make the group picture, but she is Aldine too. Casey is a Nimitz alum and former dance team member, an HTC alum, former Pro Bowl cheerleader, and is now in her 9th season coaching the @HoustonTexans Cheerleaders.
I love seeing the talented people who serve our students every day shine outside of Aldine, too. And it makes me even prouder when some of those same people are products of Aldine themselves.
