China’s first AI-generated theatrical feature has flopped, earning just $181,000 in its first weekend. By contrast, the scrappy ‘Niu Lai’ turned its crude animation into a viral attraction, grossing nearly $10 million a couple of months ago. cartoonbrew.com/box-office-r…

Reverse engineering how Mother 1 scrolls in 4 directions on NES and going insane. I think I understand how it works and now I only need to implement it (~40% done). See you in a few weeks. 😭

I wasn’t particularly interested at first, but since it’s Zach Cregger’s latest film, I went to see “Resident Evil.” Right from the opening, it hits you with music reminiscent of “The Thing.” From there, it’s a relentless barrage of classic horror techniques, terrifying situations, and jump scares that never lets up until the very end. This isn’t a film adaptation of “Resident Evil.” It’s a film about the experience of playing “Resident Evil,” controller in hand. It reminded me of how I felt when I first played the original “Resident Evil” on PlayStation back in 1996. I was just like Bryan in this movie. I kept getting game over after game over, shouting “F***!” over and over again. lol I’m also happy I managed to pick up a program for “Digger.”

Since people are currently talking about this vibe coded port, I might as well take the opportunity to show you guys my “port” of Mario kart Wii on the Nintendo DS. It has been in development for five-ish years and AI is not being used nor will it ever be.
Mario Kart Wii has been ported to 3DS! I recorded some gameplay of the first released build! This was made by u/GrumpySmokey on Reddit: reddit.com/r/3dshomebrew/com…

One thing the SH2 Remake lacked in my opinion is how you can't interact with random objects to see James' thoughts. It just adds to the immersion and the character you're playing as when you can do that, and I hope that it's added in some capacity in future remakes and games-

How to easily trap The Weight in Silent Hill Townfall. Makes the first area with him easy! Use the gun to make a loud noise in these two spots. Make sure to do the 2nd one close to the wall so he's facing away from you when you close the door

you really get a bigger appreciation for the vocal direction in the old games once you learn that most of the scenes in them (especially SH1 & SH3) are trying to evoke the same feelings as this
unrelated to the caption the HD collection voices are just making me wonder why every other studio that’s worked on silent hill never got the memo that the original four games’ dialogue was supposed to sound like a David Lynch film
