The terrorist, Ajmal Kasab, who was captured alive wore a Hindu Sacred Thread called “Kalawa”, so that after his death he is recognised as a Hindu and the attack can be presented as Hindu Terrorism.
But thanks to ASI Tukaram Omble, who played major role in apprehending this terrorist alive, which ultimately proved his real identity.
ASI Omble was awarded posthumously Ashok Chakra, India's highest peacetime gallantry award.
