New Open-Source AI Animator: Text-to-Animation for Humans, Animals, Creatures, Robots & More
UniMate generates motion from text prompts for rigged 3D characters. Describe an action and turn it into animation.
Highlights:
• One model, different skeletons—no separate retraining for each rig.
• Generate transitions between existing keyframes.
• Edit motion with text while keeping selected joints unchanged.
• Extend animations with a sequence of prompts.
• Export animated meshes as FBX and GLB.
• MIT-licensed code + downloadable preview weights.

This game looks great! Halloween is right around the corner, and these are the games that I'm looking for.
🚨 The Open Playtest is live! 🚨
The old world still lingers: rusting on the shore, drifting with the current, and waiting beneath murky waters. Dive in before September 14.
🫶 Please help us spread the word. It would mean a lot to us!

Yoshio Kiya (Falcom) built Dragon Slayer (1984) because, in his words, Wizardry and Ultima were the only RPGs that existed, so he made a third kind: stats and dungeon crawling with real-time combat instead of menus. That game, then Xanadu, is the spine of the Japanese action RPG. Ys, a lot of what people later called “Zelda-like,” and even The Legend of Heroes (which began as Dragon Slayer VI) sit downstream of that experiment.

Take a wild guess which game was the world’s best-selling one 40 years ago, in 1986.
It was Super Mario Bros. (1985), and it became a global icon because it was both a superb game and, maybe even more importantly, the right game at the right moment. It arrived after the 1983 North American video-game crash, when retailers were wary of consoles.
Nintendo repositioned the NES as a family entertainment system, and Mario was simply so good and polished that it felt worth buying. It sold tens of millions of copies, helped make the NES a household fixture, and almost single-handedly reanimated the console-gaming market.
The Super Mario franchise is still going strong and is close to cracking the 1 billion (!) units-sold mark, an absolutely insane figure.

I don’t know what sins he committed, but I hope they were forgiven 😭

My thoughts on GTA 6 Jason.

I think Jason Duval's acting was supposed to match Don Johnson's as James Crockett, and people who didn't grow up watching Miami Vice won't see the resemblance.
