UE has joined other unions and community organizations in signing a letter to the Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee. The letter urges them to prioritize Medicare for All.
UE has joined other unions and community organizations in signing a letter to the Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee, in response to their public “request for information” on policy proposals to improve access, quality and affordability of health coverage for all Americans. The letter urges them to prioritize Medicare for All, stating: We recognize that immediately reversing the H.R. 1 cuts and restoring ACA subsidies will provide immediate relief to many, and while that is important and necessary to do, that relief will only be temporary. It’s time that we implement a health care system that guarantees equal and comprehensive care to everyone. And only Medicare for All guarantees such a system.
