My take: If voting for the lesser of two evils hasn’t been working for you, consider writing in Libertarian Party candidate Lana Leguia. tinyurl.com/54m54dwv @LeguiaNJLiberty
NJ’s rollout of Flock ALPRs shows small wins but no crime drop, despite towns spending millions. NJ’s expanding camera network creates major location‑tracking risks. Towns lack strong data‑retention rules. Evidence: cost + privacy concerns > benefit. tinyurl.com/nhh5fa2y

NJ’s highways rank 40th overall and last for urban congestion. Taxpayers and voters must demand transparent project spending, prioritize and support leaders who measure transportation agencies by congestion reduction and results, not dollars spent. tinyurl.com/3wduyt3y T4L

New Jersey’s energy future should be built around more power, lower bills, & competition. Policymakers should make it easier to build new generation, modernize the grid, and let private investment deliver reliable electricity. tinyurl.com/yehfdxp4

Meme Monday:
Hello All,
6,600 non-citizens have been confirmed to be in the NJ voter registration records, prompting Republicans to push for a total voter audit, which the Governor's office has denied repeatedly. Well. Governor Mikie "Helicopter" Sherrill has finally commented on the issue. The cause? A "software error" over at the DMV. Now, no one with half a brain would be surprised to hear that the Department of Motor Vehicles (much like every other Department of...) is a horribly mismanaged and incompetent agency that ought to be done away with, but a simple software error resulting in thousands of non-citizens being registered to vote sounds rather suspicious. We wouldn't be surprised to hear that the NJ DNC turning a blind eye to that particular bug. Though to all the Republicans reading, don't get too excited. Even with the White House's grander claim of over 30K false registrations, Jack Ciatarelli still would have lost :P

Hello All,
This week Dr. Michael Guadagnino wants to talk about the barriers to price transparency in medicine. Please give it a read.

"Price Transparency in Healthcare: Why Is It So Hard to Know the Cost?
Imagine walking into a restaurant, ordering dinner, eating the meal, and then being handed a bill without ever seeing a menu or knowing the prices beforehand. Most people would never accept that. Yet this is exactly how much of our healthcare system operates.
A patient schedules an MRI, undergoes a surgical procedure, or simply visits a specialist without having any idea what the final bill will be. Days or even months later, the charges arrive, often leaving patients shocked and frustrated. The obvious question is, why?
Healthcare is one of the few industries where consumers are expected to buy services without knowing the price. In almost every other part of the economy, competition encourages businesses to post prices. Grocery stores, airlines, hotels, and even automobile dealerships know that informed consumers make better decisions. Healthcare has somehow escaped this basic principle.
One reason is the complicated relationship between providers and insurance companies. Hospitals and physicians negotiate different reimbursement rates with dozens of insurance companies. The amount one insurance company pays for an MRI may be completely different from what another company pays. Cash paying patients may receive yet another price altogether. As a result, even the people providing the service may not know exactly what a patient will ultimately owe.
Government regulations have also contributed to the problem. While recent federal rules require hospitals to post pricing information, many facilities have been slow to comply, and the information that is available is often confusing and difficult for the average patient to understand. A list containing thousands of billing codes does little to help someone simply trying to find out what a knee MRI or a colonoscopy will cost.
The lack of transparency also weakens competition. If patients cannot compare prices, providers have little incentive to compete on cost. Imagine if you could easily compare the price and quality of MRI centers in your area before making an appointment. Lower priced facilities would likely attract more patients, encouraging others to lower their prices as well. That is how markets typically work.
Some healthcare providers have embraced a different approach. Direct primary care practices and many independent imaging centers publish their prices openly. Patients know exactly what they will pay before receiving care. These practices often build stronger relationships with patients because there are no financial surprises.
Price transparency is not just about saving money. It is about respecting patients. People deserve to make informed decisions about their own healthcare. They should be able to weigh the benefits, compare options, and determine whether a particular test or procedure fits their budget. From a libertarian perspective, transparency empowers individuals rather than bureaucracies. Markets function best when buyers and sellers have access to accurate information. Hidden prices remove consumer choice and reduce accountability.
Healthcare should not be any different. Patients deserve the same information they expect when making every other important purchase. Knowing the price before receiving care should not be considered a luxury. It should be the standard."

Check out which local professionals were awarded $ weeks before an election, then check FEC filings of your local candidates to see who the money was potentially “laundered” to.
Check town attorneys, engineers, planners etc.
