i think this is bad for the game overall. you are splitting your player base for a vocal minority and will ultimately end up merging these rulesets anyways in 6 months

Does WoW Forever need to encourage more world PvP?
If the only PvP system exists inside of instanced battlegrounds, I think we have a parallel issue to the dungeon spam problem. All end game PvP will happen in bgs with people just standing around in cities waiting for queue. In and out of bgs just chillin in the city.
I think a New World type of system where factions/guilds have to fight over contested territories on timers with a rank/rated system for this mechanism would be incredible for this new world.

Horizontal Progression: Forever gear is gonna move "a couple item levels" at a time and your bis from the last raid might stay bis for a long, long time..
I understand the problem they're trying to solve and nobody wants retail squishes. nobody wants their gear in the trash every raid tier release. But, I cant be the only one worried about the other side of that coin right?
if my new weapon is just slightly better than last raid tier, do i even feel it? does that decrease the dopamine dump from getting new gear?
one of the best feelings of this game is when an item youve been chasing for weeks finally drops and you can feel the power when you equip it. You can instantly see your performance increase. if upgrades are so gradual you cant feel them, what's the chase?
