This is what it's all about folks! Well done Katherine!
My first Omarchy contribution (other than the Omarchy-ftrou newsletter): github.com/BlancoKat/omarchy… When I tried to update GrokBot in Omarchy, it couldn't read the update file because it was .rpm, so I asked GrokBot for help. This was the result. Now there's a menu item in the Update section my Omarchy Menu. @dhh @OmarchyUpdates @SundayBuildClub @bot

Having a ton of fun, if you can call it that, testing the Wired Different Vault OS. It’s a ton of work though. Been on this now for 3 months on and off. We are getting close though!

Hey @X! I’m at 843 followers, aiming high to hit 3k 🚀 I’m building ModelMule, a non-profit IRC hub for open-weight local AI models, with a simple interface for people new to IRC. Keep Local AI Alive 🔥 Next up: bringing a GB300 online for compute-constrained folks doing serious AI development. Looking for 600 backers at $1k each to launch with unmetered access ⚡ Help me #connect 🤝 with people who get it: 🦙 Uncensored weights > API keys 🔥 Your GPU is too small and you know it 📡 IRC never died, it was waiting for us 🐧 Omarchy or nothing 🛠️ Building real infra in public Follower count doesn’t matter, good conversations do! ✨ ko-fi.com/modelmule

Wow @jethrojones , thank you for these awesome words, thank you so so much. Your daughter getting started on Omarchy is so good as well! I have a few friends in NJ with downs that I still keep in contact with and they are the kindest and most genuine people I know! Their sense of humor is is off the chart and right up my street!
Love seeing people do things for differently abled folks.

So cool!
The full ModelMule film, 12:48. Every picture, voice line and note came from local models on our own GPUs and Macs. No cloud, no subscription. What ModelMule is, how members back serious compute, and where it goes next. Please give us a repost to help us bring out the big guns. modelmule.com @TheModelMule @ncfrontiersman @NixFred @NotJustShaking @thetundeo @calledtocnstrct @finbar_b @Smeekraft

Introducing Wired Differently - 3 weeks ago this would have been impossible for me, a solo creator with a tight budget. Working with @TheModelMule and @JamesTervit what seemed out of reach suddenly became reality. This all happened because of the #Omarchy @SundayBuildClub

This is the future of making videos locally.
On 12 October we could make about one minute of consistent AI film. Today it is 12 minutes. Same mule in every shot. One narrator. Real-time motion. Made locally, on our own GPUs, with open models. Next: 30 minutes. Then three 30-minute segments for 90, and on to 120.

Just sitting here feeling how much I want to accomplish that needs money and wishing I was not such an idiot when I had a job and bought the following: 1. NAS 2. Better GPU 3. Apple Vision Pro or Samsung Galaxy XR. Regarding No.3 - Why are companies not offering discounts for those with disabilities. Do they not realize how these products in particular could literally change someone's life. That really annoys me.

Current status! Well, it was about 5 mins ago until she heard an electric Amazon Van which she hates!! Two months at waking up at 1am took their toll, add in an anxiety day and Purple the dog was called into action. Pic taken by my wife and AI touched it up! #parkinsons #fatigue

I'm building things for #Omarchy and this is my first foray into hardware that can help folks with disabilities or cognitive issues. Of course, this device's use cases reach far beyond that. Read part one of my experience with the #Waveshare device here tinyurl.com/8mnmbxua

I would urge everyone to get behind this. I have had the privilege to have a sneak peak behind the curtains and I will tell you this will be awesome for so many people!!
That's what ModelMule is for: a community for finding and running open models on your own machine, then putting them to work. Video, voice and images for projects like Lee's, plus real hardware tests and honest loading guides. @TheModelMule

Totally off topic, but these things should be illegal, because I now know what being an addict feels like! #missvickies

What would you put on a small screen beside your computer if you could make it useful to you? The shortcuts you keep forgetting? Controls buried in menus? A reminder of what you were doing? Tomorrow I'm sharing the first part of my #Waveshare touchscreen project. Mine started with solana:DRDEKFoEqf4y5C6z3FEPpsNrmDRSqNajvhPgs8KHKbsz, but the idea reaches beyond #Linux. #Windows users have plenty of the same frustrations. AI helped me build something that would otherwise have been above my head. The point is making everyday life a little easier. Waveshare supplied the device for review. shaggyrs6.substack.com/

I made a some themes for #Omarchy! The best thing that ever happened to me after being diagnosed with Parkinson's was my dog "Purple" the black lab. She is always there for me. She knows when I need her, she lets me lay on top of her when I am anxious and so much more.

Been messing around with trying to make YouTube shorts. I thought I would try #EffectCraft, it has a built in MCP connection. Was not hoping for much for the first test, but it turned out awesome. It's not perfect, but #codex did everything for me. All I did was give it a brief!

I will say, this initial try did honk a load of tokens. Far less that using an #OpenRouter model, but still way to much for my liking. I think the key is to really nail the brief and have as little changes as possible. This is where local AI would earn its keep. Too expensive though for a solo guy to afford the commute.
