The Wolf in Winter ranking on StreamRank #1,188 globally, #900 in the US #907 in Australia An interesting trajectory. I Wonder why this never caught on.

Federer after a crushing loss: “I’m bummed, but you don’t win all the time .” Quite refreshing seeing a champion treat losing as an unfortunate part of sport rather than an existential event requiring isolation from the family.

I feel for Novak’s family tonight. As Jelena said, when he loses he goes into “leave me alone” mode, closes the door and isolates his family. Hopefully they’re spared the silent treatment tonight. This is hard for them too.

The typical noletard victims are crying over this so let me clarify. He isolates HIMSELF from his family. He says “leave me alone” He doesn’t lock his family up or anything like that. Then Tara brings him back to them. I’m not sure that’s a child’s job. Poor thing.

Does anyone remember who said this? “Why do you think he is still playing at 40? Imagine that, a 40-year-old man still playing tennis, when he could go home and do some more interesting things.”

You can argue about the GOAT all day, but this stat is incredible. Novak Djokovic vs. everyone else at Grand Slams: 89.7% Novak Djokovic vs. Rafael Nadal at Grand Slams: 38.9% Nadal had a way of rising when the stakes were highest.

18 years ago, Federer and Nadal gave us the greatest tennis match the world has ever seen. Peak Wimbledon.

This is how good Sinner already is on grass. Alcaraz beat peak Djokovic to win his first Wimbledon. Then Sinner easily beat Alcaraz to win his first, then went back-to-back, not even playing his best tennis. Insane

Sinner is basically Djokovic 2.0. If you love Djokovic’s style of tennis, you should love Sinner’s even more. He just does everything slightly better.

Djokovic is still beating the same players he was in 2016. The difference is that Sinner and Alcaraz arrived. If Sinner and Alcaraz had emerged 10 years earlier, Djokovic probably finishes with around 18 Slams. If they’d arrived 10 years later, he probably ends up with 30.
