What happened to him? Really thought he’d push on after he left us
Brennan Johnson is on 100k+ a week for 4 more years. Won’t be able to get rid of him. One of the worst signings we’ve ever made and that says a lot

Glasner must honestly be scratching his head. I’m not sure there’s much more he can do. The system isn’t the problem as we’re creating plenty, dreadful composure from the forwards this season and some farcical officiating in most games #NFFC

That’s fucked
To clarify. It’s actually even worse. The horror of what our families face is this: my son’s killer, Valdo Calocane, was given a Section 37/41 hospital order. This is medical care, not a penal sentence. By January 2027—the 3-year mark—he can legally apply to a tribunal to come out if deemed well enough. Worse, until our recent fight to close the loophole, these criminal patients actively pocketed up to £800/month in state benefits from their hospital beds. A hospital order is not prison. We face a life sentence ensuring this monster is never released. #JusticeForBarnaby #NottinghamAttacks 💚💛

“I would be really concerned to lose them.” Prime Minister Andy Burnham on the possibility of Manchester City’s owners selling up. What?! These are owners found guilty of serial breaches of the Premier League rule-book by three judges on an independent commission after a lengthy investigation. Owners who outraged other clubs and countless fans by flouting the rules and inflating sponsorship income with the Disguised Funding Scheme. Owners who misled auditors and regulators, who threaten to bring this Premier League season – and, potentially, future seasons - to a standstill by their appeal, deny, delay tactics. Owners who are patently not proper custodians of a famous, historic club. Owners who many hope will sell up and ship out after bringing such shame and sham contracts to the game. So these are astonishing, alarming comments from the PM. “I do actually thank the City Football Group and the wider ownership for the money that they didn't just put into the Etihad and the campus around it but also into the city," Burnham told the BBC’s Chris Mason. Come on, PM. Read the room. Read the commission’s report. Read the belligerent statements from the Abu Dhabi owners and their chief executive like Ferran Soriano. Rather than thank CFG, perhaps thank the diligence of the Premier League in seeking to enforce its rules and protect the national sport. Perhaps thank the three judges for their pain-staking work in sifting through reams of evidence and coming to their considered conclusion. Burnham spoke as a politician seemingly with one eye on diplomatic and trade links. He spoke as a former mayor whose city benefited from investment in east Manchester by Abu Dhabi. “They've been such a huge partner in the building of modern Manchester and obviously the building of Manchester City into the global force that it is.” And how was that building financed? Burnham spoke as a politician and not the football fan that he truly is. The lifelong Evertonian is usually pretty sound on football matters. He misread the mood of many fans not wanting the possible return of drinking in Premier League stands but that was a rare misstep. This is far worse. This makes him look out of touch with the prevailing mood. He was speaking at Hill Dickinson Stadium. Maybe he should head to Anfield on Sunday week and witness the anger felt towards City. Burnham did add that he wasn’t getting involved in the process and that City had a right to appeal if they felt harshly treated. But how does the PM’s sympathetic words for controversial owners help the independent football regulator charged by Government with leading the fight against those who risk the credibility of their club, who play fast and loose with the rules and who damage the integrity of the national sport? How frustrating if Burnham’s words embolden City's owners and Soriano further. Bit of an own goal by No 10.

Lawyers on £400,000 a week couldn’t defend a single charge of 115 BUT fear not, mcscotty808 has “read the majority of the documents” and has found holes in the case! A lifeline here for Manchester City!
So I've read the majority of the 40 page documents and there's more holes in it than a second hand dart board the whole fucking thing is just a mess i fear this will drag on for another 2 years and will only end with a high court ruling in the meantime fans and players will be abused on a daily basis I'm still leaning towards just taking the punishment then we can move forward i appreciate not many feel this way

Not sure how Man City can be taken seriously going forward. All of their success and foundations are off the back of cheating. Should be stripped of the lot and made an example of. What will happen is a minor slap on the wrist
Manchester City were first informed that they had been found guilty of more than 100 breaches of the Premier League's financial rules in the summer. Sources told ESPN club chiefs were initially made aware of the findings of the independent panel in July. It was followed by an aggressive approach in the summer transfer window, during which seven senior signings arrived at the Etihad Stadium at a cost of more than £450 million… espn.co.uk/football/story/_/… @RobDawsonESPN

Wow, when you think what us and Everton got, their points deduction would be enough to get them relegated
The scale of Manchester City's financial cheating laid bare in independent commission report: the club overstated sponsorship income by more than £830 million over eight years.

Hopefully this is MGW’s in into future camps and squads
🚨 Thomas Tuchel: “Cole Palmer misses too many opportunities, ajd he misses way too many camps with injuries. It’s not his fault”. “I can only judge what I witness in my team. For that you have to be in camp. If you are not in camp there is a next level you cannot achieve unless you do it in my team”, says via @henrywinter.

I do think Glasner is a step up in calibre to our previous managers. His track record suggests that. But 3 at the back at home to Coventry is not the answer. I’m not convinced he will change his system and don’t think we have the players to make it work at home either

Thank god for Marinakis. I know we’ve had our financial issues in the past but that is a worrying read for Burnley fans.
Alan Pace said we were invited into the living room & kitchen – but the bedroom was off limits… So, anyone for a sneaky peak inside the financial bedroom of Burnley Football Club?

How is this getting ruled out???
Honestly I'm loving having no VAR in the Championship. What the fuck is he meant to do there? Get studded in the face? That's a goal all day long.
