Funny year. Got ranked top 5 in NL, better international wins and placements at majors than last year, made good improvements in the second half of the year, had more consistent results, and so my EU rank went...down? Tough competition.
Guess I'll simply work harder this year 👀

Day 71/1000
Player: Jeapie
Mains: Captain Falcon
Region: Netherlands
Years active: 2010–19, 2021
Peak Global Rank: 66th, 2015
Best Wins: Amsah, Android, Overtriforce, Dizzkidboogie, Chillindude
Summary:
Jeapie is one of Europe’s most influential Captain Falcon players, known for his incredibly technical movement and flashy punish game. Representing the Netherlands, he became one of the continent’s strongest Falcons during the mid-2010s, reaching 66th in the world in 2015. His fast platform movement, precise wavelands, and creative offstage play made him stand out in an era when European Falcon representation was relatively limited.
What makes Jeapie particularly interesting is his success against Sheik, historically one of Captain Falcon’s most difficult matchups. He developed a reputation as a Sheik slayer, earning victories over European specialists like Amsah, Android, and Overtriforce. At Republic of Fighters 3, he even reached top eight after navigating a bracket filled entirely with Sheik players. Alongside his 9th-place finish at B.E.A.S.T 5, Jeapie’s performances helped establish him as one of Europe’s defining Falcons and demonstrated how far technical mastery could push the character.
the most consistent tell I've had that I'm doing the right things in Melee has been how much people complain about character matchups when I've recently been playing against them

Player: nebbii, FKA Avalancer
Mains: Yoshi
Region: Netherlands
Years active: 2012–22
Peak Global Rank: 98th, 2018
Best Wins: Hax$, Amsah, Professor Pro, Android
Summary:
Even though aMSa is Yoshi’s most internationally recognized player, nebbii, formerly known as Avalancer, was one of Europe’s leading Yoshi players for a majority of the 2010s. His 98th finish in the 2018 year global ranking reflects that he was a notable European competitor.
nebbii’s most widely remembered international moment was taking a game from Armada, which helped raise his profile outside the Netherlands. He also placed seventh at Heir 4 and recorded notable wins over Hax$, Amsah, Professor Pro, and Android. These results established him as a respected Yoshi player. Showing the greater melee scene that the dinosaur spotlight was big enough for two.
