did one of these cause I was bored (I limited myself to one album per artist and I’m also not really sure how these work) it’s basic but ehhh who cares

Elsie Lovelock really did so much for SMG4 in its last few years because she literally voices both of these characters having an interaction together

I think the reason why WPNZ didn’t bother people that much in SMG4 as an abuser is because although the narrative shows him a little sympathy, Karen is never treated as unreasonable for her actions and given plenty time about her own struggles that make her feel well developed. +

WPNZ left a bad impact on their lives and is also still absent from his children’s lives but he at least actually left them alone after it was clear they didn’t want anything to do with him. Karen and the kids even get their own episodes separate from him after their arc +

so it never really felt like they got sidelined for WPNZ. I think that’s why he doesn’t got so much flack even though he’s a bad person, it’s because the narrative KNOWS he is.

also this is just an excuse for me to post this clip because this is one of my favourite smg4 episodes from 2025 and it’s a shame nobody talks about it

I get both sides: on one hand the GMod animation is off-putting, but on the other hand the amount of passion the voice acting has and taking into consideration that this was a weekly show, it’s quite impressive for what started as a simple GMod shitpost channel

WPNZ got his ass beat from his family, is portrayed as the villain by the show, and the show doesn’t make excuses for his behavior. He’s aware that he’s a villain, but learns to move forward and embrace that pain instead of fully ignoring it. That’s what makes him likeable
