If you’re under 25 and you commit a crime your punishment is some family time ? @top_nz
This is as bad as it gets. Criminal charges should follow !

"What is known is how Hipkins responded once he was aware of the advice in question - in March 2022, when it was in his Cabinet paper, including how two doses “may add an unnecessary risk of myocarditis in this [12-17] population”.
He did not make any recommendations to change vaccine mandates based on that specific advice, nor was it shared with the public."

The Inquiry also found that advice against mandating two doses of the Pfizer vaccine for 12–17 year olds – due to myocarditis risks – wasn’t made sufficiently clear. That’s not good enough.
This is the John Tamihere business model.
.@elonmusk: "One of the biggest fraud holes we've uncovered ... is that the government can give money to a so called nonprofit ... They then give themselves ... insane salaries, expense everything, buy jets and homes ... on the taxpayer dime ... This is happening at scale."
This is why NZ needs DOGE. Millions and millions of taxpayer dollars wasted on shit !
🧵If you read the front page of the Herald today you'll see Chicken Little academics screaming that the sky is falling because @JudithCollinsMP has focused Marsden science grants on actual science & tightened up parameters. When they say she is "driving the car that represents our research, science, innovation and technology system, and just simply crashed it and destroyed a really important support for a large chunk of it" it is important to remember the types of projects they are upset will no longer get funding... here's a thread of some examples.
Please note, that some of these examples may well be worthy of study, but they are not science. They should be funded by other means.
Also, most of these examples relate to Māori. That is simply because projects focused on Māori have been disproportionately funded.

Too many departments in government that waste money and don’t even need to exist.
America is about to implement DOGE and we’re gonna get left behind otherwise.

🚨🇦🇷 ARGENTINA HITS RECORD TRADE SURPLUS IN MILEI’S FIRST YEAR
Under Milei’s leadership, Argentina turned a $7.94B trade deficit in 2023 into a record-smashing $18-19B surplus in 2024, surpassing the previous high of $16.89B in 2009.
His push to boost energy exports from the Vaca Muerta shale reserves and ramp up grain sales is paying off, making Argentina a global exporting powerhouse again.
With inflation already down from nearly 300% to 117.8%, Milei’s economic reforms are proving their worth.

I don’t see the so called Māori as Māori, I see them as groups of people. A blood test would reveal that none of these people have more than 50% Māori blood. You can’t claim to have special rights as Māori when you’re predominantly European or other.
I heard an interview with Iwi leader Helmut Modlik from a few days ago. He basically said they’re working behind the scenes and waiting for the conservative 60+ white men of New Zealand to hurry-up and die. Once they’re gone and the progressive youth start coming through, there will finally be a mandate for fundamental constitutional reform in this country. Finally Tino Rangatiratanga and Mana Motuhake for Māori. Maybe my kids will embrace this in 15-20 years time, but I hope I’m gone. I want to leave with the awesome memories of the New Zealand I loved growing up in the 70s and 80s. Race just didn’t feature in any decision making for us as a family. We judged and accepted others by their actions and character. What I see and hear today deeply saddens me.
