Jet2’s first all-business-class Boeing 737-800NG has now entered service, with the aircraft operating its first charter flights.

Based at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, the aircraft has been reconfigured from 189 seats to just 76 business-class seats, offering a minimum of 43 inches of legroom throughout.
The premium charter product targets sports teams, music and entertainment groups, and other specialist customers seeking more space, privacy and tailored onboard service.
The aircraft is now available for further winter charter bookings.

BREAKING: The UK has just issued security alerts for Israel, Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Iraq, UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Syria, Yemen and Palestine, warning all British nationals of sudden incoming escalation causing severe flight cancellations, airspace closures and travel disruptions.
"The context in the Middle East remains deeply unpredictable and the risk of sudden escalation is high," the new warning says.
It now covers British nationals planning to transit the region rather than only those already there, and drops all qualifiers on airspace closures and travel disruptions, which are no longer described as potential.
US embassies across the region ordered departures last week.

On Saturday 24th October, our MIST System was activated for its first real incident in the Southbound tunnel, in response to a vehicle fire.
The Fixed Fire Suppression System was the first of its kind to be installed in a British tunnel, and it is a critical part of our tunnels safety. Activated via our SCADA monitoring system, the system can target three fire zones, including the affected zone plus one zone either side, to fully contain the fire until emergency services respond. While we hope it's rarely needed, Saturday's incident demonstrated exactly why this investment in safety and regular maintenance is so important.
We are pleased to share that the incident was safely resolved within an hour, with no reported injuries, and attendance from the North East Ambulance Service was not required.
A big thank you to our Operational Delivery team, as well as emergency services who responded quickly and professionally.
