Here’s another standout of the week @nsschell He was in charge of putting green water management on the back 9. There’s no more important job than water management @uswomensopen when the weather is dry. He knocked it out of the park as you can see by the condition of the greens.

Spring seems to be arriving early in many areas, but lots of courses are wet from melting snow or recent rains and they won't dry quickly at this time of year. Everyone needs to be patient with early season conditions to avoid causing lasting damage.

Mild weather may let you sneak in some late winter golf, but we can't expect midseason conditions or presentation. Grass is dormant in many areas and it will take time for maintenance teams to clean up debris and get courses ready for spring ➡️bit.ly/3yamJQp

Superintendents use various tools and techniques to provide the smoothest greens possible, but they need help from golfers too. Walking carefully on the greens and fixing ball marks can make a big difference in how smooth the greens roll over a long golf season.

Applying sand topdressing to putting greens might mean a temporary disruption in playability, but the many benefits far outweigh the short-term inconvenience 👉bit.ly/3aBKxRP
