Today, OII provided testimony on HB 536, which would strengthen Ohio's seat belt laws and make violations a primary offense. #DidYouKnow Per @NHTSAgov, those not directly involved in crashes pay 77% of the cost, primarily through insurance premiums, taxes and traffic delays.

This morning, we outlined the steep financial costs Ohioans face due to seat belt nonuse and why HB 536 is badly needed to bring primary enforcement of seat belt laws to the Buckeye State. Thank you to @OHTrafficSafety for shining a light on this increasingly important issue.
