Most Portland Dems will not change their voting. It's like the frog and the scorpion parable...voting "blue no matter who" and no matter what, is their nature. They will vote for feckless incompetents and failed policies until Portland collapses, blame Trump or some other bogeyman, move out, then keep voting the same way and ruin some other place. Again, it's their nature. BTW...if you're not following @pdxmoderate , you should!
The city of Portlands budget hole in 2027 will be $250M+… business license taxes in free fall, reduced real property taxes and highest reduction in single family home asking price of any major city in America, hotels selling at 90% discounts…
All brought to you by 40 years of shitty democrat (communist) policy and final nails in coffin of rank choice voting at 25% + 1 allowing DSA cosplay communist kids into office who have zero business acumen, leadership ability or common sense.
The economic chain reaction isn’t complicated: When people stop feeling safe, foot traffic suffers. When foot traffic suffers, businesses struggle. When businesses struggle, property values and tax revenues come under pressure. Public safety and effective behavioral-health services are not luxuries. They are foundations of a functioning urban economy.
Yet Portland’s leaders have too often treated enforcement, treatment, and accountability as though they conflict with compassion. They don’t.
People experiencing addiction and mental illness deserve real help, and everyone else deserves safe streets. A serious government must deliver both.
You cannot repair a damaged reputation with another task force, another slogan, or another tax increase. You repair it by restoring order, providing effective treatment, protecting commerce, and measuring results instead of celebrating intentions.
Compassion without results is an empty promise. Policy without accountability is an expensive failure. And a city that refuses to govern effectively should not be surprised when investors, businesses, workers, and visitors decide to take their money elsewhere.

Drazan may not be the answer to all of Oregon’s problems but Kotek is the source of them.
VOTE OREGON RED!
DEAR TINA,
You asked me for your vote. I’ve given it a lot of thought and I have a lot of questions:
Are you going to make up for the significant financial decline of all the property held by homeowners and businesses because of your overreaching policies?
Are you going to cut taxes in half?
Are you going to ditch the prohibitive Universal Healthcare plan that will end up a death trap for all people in Oregon?
Are you going to remove our Sanctuary status off our state?
Are you going to stop funding ALL programs that support illegals?
Are you going to totally revamp our curriculums in schools that are indoctrinating our kids into DSA political agenda?
Are you going to stop funding NGO’s who are funneling money to the people planning to overthrow our government through a COUP!
Are you going to quit being so racially motivated and treat EVERYONE EQUALLY?
Are you going to reduce regulations on businesses and cut taxes on them so we can begin to grow new businesses?
Are you going to deregulate all the ridiculous restrictions on personal property so that people can do what they want with their property?
Are you going to educate yourself on how to run a state?
Are you going to appoint someone of our choice to take over all financial obligations and figure out a way to meet reasonable obligations of the state, without increasing any taxes?
Are you going to start acting responsibly as a governor?
Are you going to provide real programs to help the homeless find jobs and provide them with real homes?
Are you really going to provide real programs to help addicts get the help they need?
Are you going to be responsible and hire Foresters that understand how to manage forests so we don’t have wildfires in our state every year?
Are you going to allow hydro dams to provide electricity at their full capacity?
Are you going to discontinue allowing utilities to keep charging higher and higher fees?
Are you going to remove all the taxes you are collecting on every gallon of gas or diesel we buy?
Are you going to make sure that people’s livelihoods are not destroyed?
Are you going to stop environmentalists from running (ruining) our state?
Are you going to stop trans/gays from running (ruining) our state?
Are you going to make sure that we preserve the rights of sportsmen and the fishing industry?
Are you going to remove illegals from housing that should be provided to low-income legal citizens?
Are you going to allow ICE to come into our state and let them do their jobs?
Are you going to get behind our police force and let them do their jobs?
Are you going to stop blaming President Trump for all the problems you’ve created?
Are you going to make peace with President Trump?
Are you going to start to treat all citizens living in Oregon, with respect?
Are you going to start listening to everyone, and not just your left-leaning ‘friends’?
Are you going to swear to the citizens of Oregon that you will not participate in the RADICAL COUP that is being planned against our country?
Are you going to fire Attorney General Dan Rayfield?
Are you going to prove that you and Secretary of State Tobias Read are not involved in the COUP against the United States?
I DID NOT THINK SO!
You have left us no choice.
To save our state and save our country, we must:
VOTE FOR CHRISTINE DRAZAN!
You're a despicable, gaslighting liar. You don't care about Oregonians. You only want to make sure it's you, the @ORDems, and OR Govt that give private Oregon residents the short end of the stick. You're nothing but higher taxes, more govt, more regulations, etc. that take more money and drive up the cost of living. You and your incompetent ilk can go pound sand.

Only one gubernatorial candidate will actually talk to the press...
Thank you @ChristineDrazan for answering my questions during our interview. For the record, @GovTinaKotek has not agreed to be interviewed-despite more than a dozen invitations from @fox12oregon since July. She also declined our debate invitation.youtu.be/XD2ex5Cn7PE?is=bYI1…
And yet Portland and Oregon’s dogmatically dim Dem voters will keep voting “blue no matter who” regardless of the results or their incompetence.
Portland’s Royal Sonesta: bought for $108.3M in 2016. Now reportedly sold for $6.83M for 220 rooms—just $31,000 per key. A staggering 93.7% price collapse.
This is what happens when government fails at public safety, downtown disorder spirals, Measure 110’s consequences go unaddressed, and Multnomah County’s mental-health system fails people in crisis.
Tourism doesn’t thrive where visitors feel unsafe and downtown businesses struggle to survive.
Portland didn’t get here by accident. Policy choices have consequences—and taxpayers, workers, businesses, and property owners are paying the price.

You can’t trust a governor whose solution to a $400 million problem was a $15 billion tax on Oregonians.
Higher taxes are not the solution. New leadership is.

GEN Z IS VOTING WITH ITS FEET—AND OREGON SHOULD BE TERRIFIED.
A poll found 70% of Gen Z respondents considering a move said they’d most likely leave Oregon.
Among those considering moving statewide, 53% cited lower taxes as a reason.
The message is unmistakable: high taxes, weak job growth, public-safety failures and an unresponsive government are driving people to question their future here.
No housing growth without population growth. No population growth without good-paying jobs. No good-paying jobs without business investment.
And no business investment without a safe city, competitive taxes and government that actually works.
Councilor Mitch Green, County Chair Jessica Vega Pederson and Governor Tina Kotek: Oregon cannot tax, regulate and alienate its way to prosperity.
This isn’t left versus right. It’s results versus failure—and the political extremes are making compromise harder while the problems get worse.
November is an opportunity to demand change at every level of government. Oregon cannot afford another four years of business as usual.

Local and regional tax burdens in the Portland area have grown over five times faster than the local population, driven by at least 20 major new tax measures and rate hikes enacted by voters and lawmakers since 2009.
Key Fiscal Realities in Portland
•Surging Tax Burden: Voters and lawmakers have passed at least 20 major tax measures since 2009, pushing Portland to have the second-highest combined top marginal individual income tax rate in the nation (trailing only New York City).
•Business Taxes: Local taxes on Portland businesses rose by 82% between 2019 and 2023 alone.
•New Local Levies: The area introduced localized income and gross-receipts measures such as the Multnomah County Preschool for All tax (1%), the Metro Supportive Housing Services tax (1%), and various property and utility fee increases.
•Population vs. Growth: While Portland and Multnomah County experienced flat or declining population trends during parts of the post-pandemic period (with Multnomah County seeing outward migration to neighboring counties like Clark County, WA or Washington County), local government and special-district tax revenues continued to scale upward to fund housing, preschool, and infrastructure backlogs.
By comparison, state-level data in Oregon noted that overall state spending grew over four times faster than state population growth over a similar decade-long window, mirroring the public perception of a steep gap between demographic growth and fiscal expansion.
You cannot tax your way out of incompetence.
You cannot legislate your way out of disorder.
And you certainly cannot punish the employers and investors who still have the option to take their capital, jobs and businesses elsewhere.
Keep driving away the people who create, invest and employ, and eventually there will be fewer people left to tax.
Portland and Oregon are taxing citizens to death. Our quality of life has deteriorated and the level of government services are among WORST IN NATION despite HIGHEST IN NATION TAX BURDEN.

This 👇🏻
Portland’s small businesses aren’t struggling because billionaires somewhere else supposedly aren’t paying their “fair share.”
They’re struggling because City Hall has failed at the basics: public safety, reasonable taxation, reliable infrastructure, functional schools and a business environment where employers actually want to invest.
Blaming Portland’s failures on billionaires who don’t even live in Oregon is political theater designed to distract from City Hall’s own record.
That isn’t economic development. It’s economic self-sabotage dressed up as DSA ideology.
Mitch Green, Jamie Dunphy and the rest of the Peacocks are zero real life existence in starting or running a private sector company. They are pushing DSA communist policies that will accelerate Portlands doom loop.

Never forget this. 👇
Fact check: Kotek voted to not allow a bill to come out of committee that would have restored full, in-class instruction.
On June 3, 2021, House Speaker Tina Kotek voted against a motion to bring HB 3399 out of committee for House consideration. HB 3399 would have required every Oregon public school to provide full-time, in-person classroom instruction during the 2021–22 school year.
The @ORDems love to gaslight the citizens of this state. Don't fall for their lies.
Incredibly alarming that DOJ has declared it will not appeal the ruling that struck down the nearly 100-yr-old requirements for silencers, short-barreled rifles, and “sawed-off” shotguns.
These uniquely lethal devices can eviscerate public safety. bit.ly/4xUlxgk
The @ORDems are unabashed liars that make old school Soviet propaganda look real. You all are a parody account now, right?
FACT CHECK: Both graduation rates and attendance rates are increasing under Tina Kotek. Meanwhile, Drazan’s plan for education is sending public dollars to unaccountable private schools that will still be unaffordable to the families most in need.
