Sophia Bush says “One Tree Hill” executives told her she wasn’t “sexy enough” to play Brooke after her first audition.
"The day of [my audition], I drove to Warner Bros. Studios in the Valley. I had fun reading for the people in the room; it felt good to make them laugh. But afterward, my manager passed along some feedback. 'We love her,' the executives explained, 'but we aren’t sure she’s sexy enough?' They asked if we could try again," Bush writes in her upcoming memoir.
"For the second audition, I went hot-girl-meets-punk-rock—a military miniskirt, stilettos with sharp gold heels, a dark, low-cut tank top, and smudgy eyeliner. The response? 'This is too much. We want high school sexy, not college sexy.' I was at a loss. Wasn’t this why shows had entire wardrobe departments? To dress characters and help create their looks?"

Bethany Joy Lenz pays tribute to Hayden Panettiere:
“I don't understand how this is real. Everything seemed to be turning around. She was coming BACK to life, wasn’t she? It’s too young and there’s still so much more life. And her daughter…. Hayden, you are surround[ed] by love. I’m sorry for every moment I didn’t reach out or check in. This can’t be real.” variety.com/2026/film/news/h…

Creation co-creators Gary Berman and Adam Malin helped start the fan convention industry as kids back in NYC in 1971 with one of the first Comic Book Conventions. Over the next 54 years, they’ve watched as what they accomplished as young men became a model for traveling fan events and helped create a new genre of entertainment, while acknowledging the importance of fans and fandoms.
No business model is perfect, but it is essential for you to know that we take our goal to elevate the fan experience at these events seriously. Without you, there is no us, and we appreciate everyone who has put their trust in Creation Entertainment for 54 years, as well as those who are just joining us on this journey.
