One question, no politics: what do you feel when you see a police officer? 👀🇰🇪 Relief because you feel safe? Fear because you think you’re about to be stopped? Or simply, “Mungu saidia nisipate shida leo.” 😂 The truth is, policing affects all of us. We need wananchi to trust the police, and police officers to know that wananchi respect the work they do. Kenyans, let’s talk. 👇 @Enoughfellows @dkmaraga @JukwaDemokrasia @PoliceKE @lawsocietyofkenya

You don't need everyone to believe in your vision. You need enough courage to keep building when they don't.

Endometriosis should not be a silent struggle. For too long, women have been told that severe period pain is “normal.” It isn't always. Endometriosis can cause debilitating pain, infertility, fatigue, and a profound impact on everyday life. This is bigger than individual suffering. It should be a national conversation in our homes, schools, hospitals, workplaces, media, and Parliament. We need awareness, early diagnosis, affordable treatment, better research, and policies that protect women living with this condition. Let’s stop normalising the pain. Let’s start listening.

The Question Perhaps Kenya's greatest tragedy is not that we have failed to become what we imagined. It is that we have become comfortable imagining what we refuse to build.

A country can change its leaders without changing the conditions that keep its people struggling. Kenya has debated corruption, unemployment, inequality and poor governance for decades. Yet these problems continue to shape the lives of ordinary citizens. Political change means little when the systems remain unchanged and the same realities are passed from one generation to the next.

The Mau Mau fighters fought for more than independence from colonial rule; they fought for land, dignity, freedom and the right to shape Kenya’s future. More than six decades later, we should ask ourselves honestly: how much of that promise has been fulfilled? If political independence came without genuine economic empowerment, equal opportunity and control over our own resources, then perhaps colonialism did not disappear it simply changed form. The question is not whether Kenya is independent on paper. The question is whether the freedom our forebears fought for is being felt in the lives of ordinary Kenyans.@JukwaDemokrasia @Enoughfellows @WillieOeba

Kenya is a country of great contradictions: we have ambitious young people, but limited opportunities; growing technology, but persistent inequality; strong institutions on paper, but weak implementation in practice. The challenge is no longer whether Kenya has potential. The question is whether we can build systems capable of turning that potential into reality.

Kenya needs a clearer direction not just louder politics. A country cannot build its future on endless political cycles while education, jobs, healthcare, technology, agriculture and institutions wait for attention. We need a national conversation about what kind of Kenya we want to build—and the discipline to pursue it beyond elections.

Chinua Achebe wrote in Things Fall Apart: “Eneke the bird says that since men have learned to shoot without missing, he has learned to fly without perching.” When the world changes, survival demands adaptation. Yesterday's wisdom may not be enough for tomorrow's dangers. The lesson is not to abandon tradition. It is to remain alive enough to evolve.

Real impact doesn't always start in boardroom meetings or formal speeches. It starts on the ground, listening to the actual pain points of the people you’re trying to serve.

A people are not defined only by the land they inhabit, but by the stories they remember, the wisdom they preserve, and the questions they dare to ask. When a generation abandons its stories, it does not merely lose the past; it loses a language through which to understand the present and imagine the future. The elders may hold the memories, the young may carry the dreams, but without a bridge between them, every generation is condemned to begin again. Perhaps this is why we must read, listen, remember, and tell our stories not to live in the past, but to ensure that the future knows where it came from. @JukwaDemokrasia @Enoughfellows
