You can apply that to any relationship xitter.cf/ilcapitanoism/status/2…

even if they both "consent" there's no way of knowing if one wasn't groomed into it. it's abusive either way

Do you know the internet is harmful to the ecosystem as well. And electricity. You use those. So what makes that harm acceptable? xitter.cf/rxqu1em/status/2112952…
One of my professors gave us an assignment and literally told us to use gen ai to generate a response to a prompt. I said oh that’s not

Correct. It’s not a binary. It’s three classes. Homosexual. Heterosexual and bisexual. xitter.cf/BobbyKingDeal/status/2…
Replying to @rlyTBR
I dont abide by that thinking. Either you believe sexuality is binary or you believe it is complex and the orientations that exist within it are complex. Every str8 identified man is not going to have the same experience but that does not contradict their heterosexuality.

xitter.cf/BobbyKingDeal/status/2… Attraction happens with the body, the body contains the organs in question. If you are attracted to females (woman historically) as a male (man historically) and not other males, you are straight
Absolutely not but the more subversive question is do you believe attraction is determined by the sexual anatomy of a person? or do you recognize that attraction is more complex than someone’s anatomy? Trans women are women period but it seems when we introduce genitalia into the conversation regarding trans women, ppl always seem to ask, “How can a man be str8 if he engages with someone who has a penis?” attraction to a woman who happens to have a penis is not equivalent to attraction to a man and we need to acknowledge that, when this conversation comes up I feel some ppl use it as a way to reduce trans women to their anatomy rather than recognizing their other characteristics and seeing them as women. That str8 man may be attracted to that trans woman’s femininity, physical appearance, her gender expression etc her genitalia may not even be a factor in that attraction.

I can’t. But I’m not arguing my clothing is ethical and others aren’t xitter.cf/CatJamarchist/status/2…
How can you verify that the clothes you are wearing were not produced with child labour? We can set reasonable thresholds for due diligence here, just as we do in every other industry.

Yes, we can set reasonable standards for due diligence, that’s why I don’t make claims that I can’t reasonably defend.

It is much easier to walk away from your statements xitter.cf/OUnderfolder/status/21…

Is that it? I’m looking for the entire scope of your ethical principles with this.

Each image generated today doesn’t use genuine world-ending amounts of energy to power it. So I’d imagine on that exclusion you’d have no issue with images today?

The necessary action would be to prevent the person from entering the enclosure. That was a failure on whoever is responsible first care. An animal should not die because of another’s mistake xitter.cf/Ocar2z9g/status/210934…
I actually do think human life is more important than a zoo animal. It’s all “oh I’m glad the tiger’s safe” and not enough “I’m horrified that we didn’t take the necessary action to stop a tiger from mauling a mentally unwell person to death”

Idk if you don’t get that people don’t care about labor. They care about the end product xitter.cf/auntymarx/status/21061…
I am slowly learning that the people enthralled by gen AI and "what it can do" are the same people who do not understand or care about the labour it takes to make something, be it a book or a song or a piece of art

Restrooms are absolutely for changing out menstrual hygiene products. Would you like someone to change their tampon in the middle of the store aisle? Or in the middle of the waiting room at the doctors office?

so where am i supposed to change my tampon the middle of the store?

If you think LLM have been programmed with every answer, no, you don’t know tech at all xitter.cf/OUnderfolder/status/21…

If you don’t understand how a calculator and an LLM differ, you are lost and will never get technology

Surely having additional knowledge about system workings would increase quality of output. I wouldn’t argue it doesn’t. xitter.cf/PaulFisch1/status/2103…

A thing you should consider is Thai illustrates that the model will use non conventional means to answer requests xitter.cf/Layserguy/status/21038…
And who gave it those tools? Who failed to air-gap the test environment? Who left the DNS open in the test environment? The very same company that keeps telling the public "the LLM did XYZ all on its own and we cant stop it"

You don’t need to have any level of understanding of the underlying code of a system to design and deploy a good system. You need to know what inputs and outputs are. Not how they are transformed. xitter.cf/konrkonrkonr/status/21…
Because if nobody has ever actually done a thing to even an intermediate level, then nobody truly understands that thing. A good systems designer at least has done some coding to be able to understand what they're designing.
