High shoutout to Sara for helping Texas turn blue for the first time in 30 years. It could not have happened without you!
If your takeaway from the Texas election results is “it’s because Paxton was a bad candidate,” congrats, you’re retarded. This is national. Mass migration. Birthright citizenship. Communists in our institutions. A war we didn’t want. A perfect storm for our enemies within.

To think that Christianity requires the protection of you and your ilk is straight up blasphemy and a large reason why you just lost ✌️

It’s time for the Cowboys to move on from Schotty. Embarrassments week after week with no solution. Another wasted season.
It is wild to watch embarrassment happening in real time like this Like to know that we are watching a horrific thing unfold in real time

This is hilarious. Top tier levels of incompetency by @bofrench
.@TXOGAPAC sent out its endorsement list today to its email list, and it omitted @bofrench for RRC, whom the group endorsed in Sept. #txlege docs.txoga.org/files/5202-tx…

Buffett on Trump — "Where did Donald Trump go wrong? The big problem with Donald Trump was he never went right. He basically overpaid for properties, but he got people to lend him the money. He was terrific at borrowing money. If you look at his assets, and what he paid for them, and what he borrowed to get them, there was never any real equity there. He owes, perhaps, $3.5 billion now, and, if you had to pick a figure as to the value of the assets, it might be more like $2.5 billion. He’s a billion in the hole, which is a lot better than being $100 in the hole because if you’re $100 in the hole, they come and take the TV set. If you’re a billion in the hole, they say “hang in there Donald.”

Why aren’t any Texas R’s willing to debate? Also @bofrench is garbage. I can’t believe Texas R’s let him affiliate.

GOP really struck gold with getting this idiot to run the bogus story.
Never lied, I just doubled down on wrong information.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Amacher did not merely double down on wrong information; he posed as Talarico's cousin and fabricated a patient verification code to contact the Lindner Center. texastribune.org/2026/10/13/jam… snopes.com/fact-check/tal… rawstory.com/maga-operative… x.com/RheinAmacher/s…

Dude has got balls of steel.
James Talarico's closing statement: You may have noticed that I haven't talked about my opponent at all tonight, because I don't want people to vote just against Ken Paxton. I want them to vote for me. I want them to know my values and my vision. But we are running against the most corrupt politician in Texas. Since taking office, Paxton has increased his net worth by $27 million. He now owns 15 homes. We have an opportunity to defeat him and this entire corrupt system.

Not sure I’ve seen someone have so many bad opinions in one single thread in my life.
Talarico’s state job involves working for six months every two years, giving him nearly 550 days off every session. Over his four sessions as a Rep, that’ equates to about 2200 days.

This being actual Korn Ferry work product that a business paid for makes me want to puke. A total waste of money.

In Dubai, Paxton and his girlfriend watched fireworks at a party with two fugitives who had failed to return to the U.S. to face federal healthcare fraud charges. One of them, Anosh Ahmed, had donated $190,000 to Paxton. wsj.com/politics/policy/ken-… w/ @MarkMaremont @jdawsey1

Paxton was asked about his ties to a tech startup. He said he wanted to invest but the CEO wouldn’t take his check. “God doesn’t want me to take your money,” Paxton said he was told. Instead, the CEO met him at a Dairy Queen and gave him 100,000 shares for free, Paxton said.

Misappropriation of funds at its finest.
WSJ Exclusive: The Trump admin used federal funds from the Department of Homeland Security to finance those controversial pro-Trump ads that started airing on TV. The taxpayer money used to fund the ads came from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. wsj.com/politics/policy/home…

This is maybe the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever seen from a senator. Humiliating
A phenomenal moment in the Senate. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., claims he has evidence Jack Smith went to a HAWKS game in Atlanta. Smith denies it. Schmitt declares he has busted Jack Smith for perjury. Smith, vexed, says he went to HAWKEYES game in Maryland. Watch the whole thing:

I can’t imagine many people are surprised it’s Collins.
Senator Collins’ office says we “took the word of someone who pled guilty,” but ProPublica conducted its own investigation of the former CEO’s assertions. We have the receipts. Our reporters independently corroborated much of the account by former Navatek CEO Martin Kao by reviewing a trove of evidence, legal records and interviewing dozens of people. And we reported that anti-corruption agents at the FBI were asking questions about Susan Collins as recently as late 2024. But after the reelection of President Trump, the FBI and DOJ teams handling public corruption probes were dismantled. Here is the full story: propublica.org/article/fbi-s…

This will be one of the worst PR disasters for the GOP. Racism isn’t something that can be fixed by throwing money at. GOP candidates nationwide will be pressed about it now. This is what the GOP deserves for letting French weasel into their party.

Texas GOP is so desperate to stay in power they’re willing to part with their own dignity to do so
I remember when @DanPatrick and @MayorMattie called for @bofrench to resign as the Tarrant County GOP chair. @bofrench was unfit then and is unfit now. Nothing has changed — except this time, it's not a county's reputation on the line, it's the state's.

If people want to know how bad @bofrench is at representing the GOP in Texas, Tarrant County turned purple. You have to be REALLY bad at your job for that to happen.
