#NEW | Republican @KYSecState Michael Adams says he does not support the DOJ’s plan to send federal election monitors to Kentucky, but says it’s ultimately Washington’s call.
Adams adds that he expect the monitors to act professionally and respect Kentucky law.

Thousands of Ukrainians wrote the National Unity Radio Dictation today. People from all corners of Ukraine, of different ages, with entirely different professions and views.
And all of this together is much more than a flash mob or a campaign. It is really about a very important ability of our language.
Ukrainian brings people together.
No matter how hard the enemy tries to erase this language, it is alive, it is strong, and it is thriving.
It brings our people together, just as it did in the past and continues to do today. And we must do everything to make sure it stays that way in the future.
Today, the Ukrainian language is much more than a means of communication. It is the language of courage, the language of dignity, the language of the fight for life that Ukrainians wage every day.
I thank everyone who protects and preserves what is Ukrainian – within themselves, in their children, and in our shared future!
Happy Ukrainian Writing and Language Day!

People from Oleshky who wish to return to Ukrainian-controlled territory will first be taken to Crimea or Russia, according to FT sources‼️
At this point, we can only brace ourselves for a massive Russian propaganda campaign, legitimized on the international stage by Newsmax's presence.
Everyone must understand what kind of interviews people will give to the media under occupation, being within the grasp of the same regime that invaded their home, held them hostage and almost starved to death. And how this wave of people going to russia is going to be presented.
It is sad, very sad, but people must be saved.

This is horrific. Residents of occupied Oleshky who wish to escape to free Ukraine will not be allowed to cross the Dnipro River – which is less than 4 km away. They will be taken to occupied Crimea or to the Russian Federation, where they will be subjected to coercive measures.

It is not true.
The Fire Point team is focusing on refining the current "Flamingo" cruise missile model and prioritizing the development of two ballistic missiles: the FP-7 and FP-9.
Developing additional cruise missile models is not currently planned.

No map today, but instead a warning. Russia puts a missile through a bridge in southern Kyiv. (h/t @Zeldamices for geolocation at 50.395181, 30.584123). Ukraine looks on, wondering how this is possible after they had an 'understanding', whilst certain members of the Ukrainian military who know the score have another opportunity to say, "I told you so, and this is the result of you telling us no". They refuse to accept that the decision has already been made for them on the bridges, and choose to tie themselves in a knot of indecision over it. A fine recipe for disaster that we see time and time again from Ukraine, if ever there was one.
For all Ukraine's politicians public insistence on concrete guarantees in peace talks, when it comes to action, they seem content to rely on back channel deals that mean nothing. They talk the talk, but when it matters, fail to walk the walk.
Meanwhile, the leaders of Finland and Norway, in seeming concert with Kyiv, elected to speak on the phone directly to Putin. They approach him softly, as though the difficulty were a misunderstanding rather than a deliberate campaign of conquest and extermination.
They should know better. You do not deter an aggressor by demonstrating your eagerness to accommodate him. You have just confirmed to him that aggression pays, that threats bring concessions, and that he has every reason to continue.
The result is as predictable as ever, rather than helping Finland or Norway, it has ensured further aggression against them, and weakened their own position. Another disservice to the troops fighting and dying on the front.
