My best model looked brilliant on one test year. Then I re-tested it from 56 starting points since 2010, and it was usually worse than just guessing "same as last month". It had been lucky.

My honest forecast: headline inflation levels off around 14–15% by Sept 2027, with a wide range (6.5–22.4%). Food inflation, now 19.6% and rising, is the one to watch.
