Okarun's character arc in the current story is INSANE. I'm so proud of him. π₯Ή
> Was given a fake tool to aid him now that he's powerless, only for it to turn out to be a curse disguised as a tool to sprout the Oni inside him.
> Made a resolve to Momo that he'd put in the effort to strengthen their relationship after her memory loss.
> Has been under immense stress and depression ever since Momo's Danmara curse.
> True to his resolve, he told Aira that he loves Momo and stood by her side to protect her, even though he's powerless.
> The final push that unleashed all his pent-up stress and depression came in the form of Hase, just as Saint Germain had planned. Okarun became an Oni.
We saw how deeply Okarun was suffering, and the parallels to Chapter 1 are insane. Back then, he couldn't do anything about the bullying he went through. Now, we're seeing all that pent-up pain and depression turn into pure RAGE.
I love Okarun so much, and this angst has only made me love him even more. π₯Ή I'm SO excited to see what happens next and whether Okarun can calm down and show that there's still some humanity left in him... π
