The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Gram Swaraj Yojana (PM VGSY), aims to ensure that no eligible elected Panchayat representative or other individuals associated with Panchayats is deprived of essential training and guidance.
Under the scheme, identification of beneficiaries (trainees) through EPIC number and biometric-based Aadhaar authentication will help ensure accurate identification and assess the actual reach of training programmes.
At its core, PM VGSY seeks to ensure that the benefits of knowledge, skill development and capacity building reach every eligible Panchayat representative and other Panchayat stakeholders, including those at the grassroots, transparently and effectively.

पंचायती राज मंत्री राजीव रंजन सिंह उर्फ ललन सिंह ने 5 नवंबर 2026 को हैदराबाद स्थित राष्ट्रीय मत्स्य विकास बोर्ड (एनएफडीबी) के पद्म डॉ. अय्यप्पन कॉन्फ्रेंस हॉल में बोर्ड की 13वीं शासी निकाय बैठक की अध्यक्षता की।
बैठक में तेलंगाना सरकार के पशुपालन, डेयरी विकास एवं मत्स्य पालन मंत्री वाकिति श्रीहरि, अरुणाचल प्रदेश के मत्स्य पालन मंत्री गैब्रियल डेनवांग वांगसू और त्रिपुरा के मत्स्य पालन मंत्री सुधांगशु दास भी शामिल हुए। इसके अलावा, राज्य एवं केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों के मत्स्य पालन विभागों के प्रतिनिधियों तथा एनएफडीबी शासी निकाय के 13 गैर-सरकारी सदस्यों ने भी बैठक में भाग लिया।

The 13th Governing Body Meeting of the National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) was held on 5 November 2026 at NFDB, Hyderabad under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying and Panchayati Raj, Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh in the presence of Hon’ble Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, & Fisheries, Government of Telangana, Shri Vakiti Srihari; Hon’ble Minister Fisheries, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Gabriel Denhang Wangsu; and Hon’ble Fisheries Minister, Government of Tripura, Shri Sudhangshu Das.

🔸प्रस्तावित संशोधन का उद्देश्य अनुसूची-एम के अंतर्गत निर्धारित सूक्ष्मजीवी संदूषण की मौजूदा सीमाओं और ग्रेड-ए क्षेत्रों के लिए डब्ल्यूएचओ द्वारा निर्धारित संबंधित मानकों के बीच मौजूद अंतर को दूर करना है।
🔸इससे भारत के नियामक प्रावधानों को अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर मान्यता प्राप्त मानकों के अनुरूप बनाया जा सकेगा।

A delegation from Sistema. bio (@sistema_bio ), led by Mr Alex Eaton, Global CEO & Co-founder, met with senior officials of NDDB to discuss strengthening and scaling up their collaboration in the biogas sector. Dr @ShahMeenesh , Chairman, NDDB, joined the meeting virtually.
Discussions focused on expanding the adoption of small-scale biogas plants among dairy farmers to support energy security, generate additional income and promote the use of dung for clean fuel and organic fertiliser. Opportunities to extend the collaboration to mid-sized biogas plants for Gaushalas were also explored to help these institutions become more self-sustainable through productive utilisation of dung.
Dr Shah highlighted the progress of NDDB’s collaboration with Sistema. bio and the ongoing partnership with NDDB–Sustain Plus Energy Foundation (SPEF, @SustainPlusSDG7 ), under which small biogas plants of —- capacity are being supplied. He also emphasised the importance of suitable financing mechanisms to make biogas plants more accessible to farmers.
The deliberations further covered opportunities for technical collaboration in carbon-credit registration and management, including coordinated frameworks to avoid overlap and strengthen the impact of biogas initiatives.

Inaugurated the Microbiology Laboratory at the Sikkim Cooperative Milk Producers Union Limited, Tadong, today. Also distributed Certificates of Registration to dairy farmers under the Sikkim Cooperative Societies Act, 1978.
These initiatives will strengthen the cooperative dairy sector, promote quality assurance and empower dairy farmers in Sikkim.

The Minister was taken on a guided tour of the Orchidarium, where the minister was briefed on its distinctive features and the diverse collection of orchids.
