A day after recognising the contributions of the non-oil export sector by his Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria during his independence broadcast, the National Council of Civil Society Organisations has honoured the Executive Director/CEO, Mrs Nonye Ayeni with an award of Excellence on Export Promotion at the 4th edition of Nigerian Nation Builders Conference and Awards 2026 at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre Abuja.
The convener of the Conference and Awards, Comrade Emmanuel Jonny described Mrs Nonye Ayeni as an achiever and said the award is in recognition of her strategic leadership style in repositioning the non-oil export sector as a major contributor to the GDP of the Nigerian economy.
The Executive Director/CEO was represented at the event by Mr. Aliu Seidu Sadiq, Deputy Director and Head of Corporate Communication.

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), in collaboration with the International Trade Centre (ITC), is taking strategic steps to address the growing challenge of export rejection of Nigerian cowpea and sesame seeds in international markets.
In this video, stakeholders from NEPC and ITC discuss the causes of export rejections, including quality standards, pesticide residue limits, traceability requirements, packaging, and compliance with international regulations. The partnership aims to strengthen the capacity of farmers, aggregators, processors, and exporters to meet global market standards and enhance the competitiveness of Nigerian agricultural exports.
