On July 23, three Lorain Police Officers were ambushed while simply eating lunch in their patrol cars. Without warning, a gunman opened fire—injuring Officers Peter Gale, Phillip Wagner, and Brent Payne. This was a targeted attack. A calculated act of violence. And yet—these officers fought to survive, to protect one another, and to ensure the threat was stopped before more lives were lost.
