This is deluxe tourism on your dime, disguised and sugarcoated as 'diplomacy'. And all this under the same @GovernmentZA that constantly preaches about austerity, transformation, and service delivery. The ANC Cadres treat state coffers like a personal piggy bank!! • R8m in international travel in less than a year • Lavish overseas trips to Japan, the UK, Ireland, Botswana, and Zimbabwe • R956,057 for Mashatile and his wife's accommodation in Japan - that's R239,000 per night • R51,000 on food and drinks, plus R8,000 on laundry • Media liaison officer alone racked up R580,000 in travel costs 📢 All while ordinary South Africans can't afford electricity, petrol, or food!! This is the same party that tells struggling citizens to "tighten their belts" has no issue spending more in 5 days than some families earn in a lifetime. Their excuse? "Strategic engagement." This is decadence, not diplomacy!! Oh... and remember, Mashatile's trip to the UK and Ireland alone cost over R5.4m, dwarfing what most embassies spend in a year. All while basic services in SA collapse and taxpayers are squeezed dry. This is exactly why South Africans are losing faith in government.
