JUST IN: Apple Maps has put all the buildings back in Gaza, because the easiest solution to a genocide is to pretend it isn't happening. Image on the right is from Google, showing the current reality.

The absolute best way is to give them something else to focus on, to distract them with inanities and addictions.

Not a single protest. No demonstrations. No opposition. Not a single sign of resistance among the American public or opposition leaders in the United States of America while staring into the abyss. Aside from mostly self-serving social media posts, of course. Nothing. Not after starting a catastrophic war on behalf of Israel’s genocidal leadership. Not after causing a global energy crisis. Not even the slightest bit of resistance and concern before a potential nuclear attack and the end of the world as it is today. We truly are where we are because of who we are.

I’ve learned that physically healthy, able-bodied people think they can “earn” their health. That if they eat right, exercise, and “don’t be lazy,” they’ll be able-bodied forever. This belief is the insidious underbelly of every piece of disability or healthcare legislation.
One of the most effective ways to keep people from questioning an unjust system is to convince them that their ability to survive it makes them morally superior to those who can't.

If you don’t think the U.S. would drop a nuclear bomb on another country then you don’t know history or the barbarity of the U.S. war machine.
Tucker Carlson’s warning that Netanyahu is pressuring Trump to drop a nuclear bomb on Iran should absolutely be taken seriously. Trump himself has been hinting it for the past year. ⬇️

FACT: 🇺🇸 🇮🇱 Almost the ENTIRE Israeli air force, which includes the largest fleet of F-16 fighters outside of America and the most expensive tactical aircraft in the region, is paid for by the U.S. taxpayer. The U.S. taxpayer also pays billions every year to maintain it. “The most powerful air force in the Middle East” they’re so proud of is nothing but an example of a parasitical colony that can’t exist without bankrupting the U.S. taxpayer.

If any US military personnel see this, remember you have the right & responsibility to choose NOT to nuke Iran where 100 million people nearby will experience the fallout. #Iran

I teach video editing. My beginner students freeze the first time they open Premiere. Pieter just had Claude Code cut 58 minutes of clips into a 10 minute vlog. The cutting is getting easy. Knowing what's worth keeping is still the job. Teachers and editors, are we teaching taste now, or still teaching buttons?
My vlog today was fully edited by Claude Code with Opus 5.5! I copied the video clips from my DJI to a folder, then opened Claude Code in it and asked it to edit it into a 10 minute vlog I made a few adjustments but not a lot It transcribed everything I said with mlx-whisper (Whisper large-v3-turbo running on my MacBook Pro's GPU through Apple's MLX) It pulled video frames every few seconds into grid images (contact sheets), so Claude could see what's in each clip It used SpeechBrain ECAPA (a voice-matching model) to figure out what was my voice from other people It then made thumbnails with OpenCV with YuNet's face detector The edit itself is a list of cuts in a JSON file: which clip, start time, end time, Claude then picked the pieces by reading the transcripts and looking at the frame grids by itself I added on screen captions for X and on YouTube for the first minute with Pillow (Python's image library) P.S. I didn't ask for any of this, and I didn't know any of this until @thesamparr just asked me how I edited it All I asked for was "Claude can you edit these clips into a 10 minute vlog for X and YouTube" I think if I didn't have AI to edit it, I wouldn't be vlogging because editing would be such a painful and slow process for me and hiring someone to do it would be even more hassle for me!

Trump said he would offer Elon Musk a protective pardon. Elon Musk has donated over $736 million to Republicans over the last two elections. This is what a bribe looks like.

Hey so if no one else is going to say it, I will: The military has all the evidence it needs to officially declare Donald Trump as a domestic threat to the Constitution and defend the Republic against this plan to drop a nuclear bomb. The United States nor humanity will recover from the fallout -- and I mean that word in every consideration.

Under pressure from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran. The target would be Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence claims the Iranian government has restarted its nuclear enrichment program. No conventional weapon in the American arsenal can penetrate 300 feet of solid granite to destroy the tunnels where enrichment is supposedly taking place. The only military option is a nuclear strike. Netanyahu has been pushing hard for one. “Bibi calls Trump about it every day,” says an informed observer. Netanyahu is cornered and desperate. After last week’s election results, he can’t form a government unless Trump intervenes directly in Israeli politics and brokers a deal with other parties that gives Netanyahu 61 seats in the Knesset. Otherwise, he is out as prime minister and on his way to ignominy, investigations and possibly jail. Netanyahu must stay close to Trump. He needs this war. To that end, he’s applied maximum pressure to his closest allies in the administration, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper. Both oppose a negotiated settlement to the war they’ve so grievously mismanaged; both are pushing to restart major combat operations. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA director John Ratcliffe are also following Netanyahu’s lead, as are leaders of the Democratic Party. In a recent meeting on the subject, former president Barack Obama said he opposes the current Iran peace deal being drafted in Doha. The rest of America’s longtime allies in the Middle East are terrified by the prospect of more war. On September 27th, Netanyahu flew secretly to Abu Dhabi to enlist the UAE in his lobbying effort for a final attack on Iran. The Emiratis refused. After eight months of conflict, Gulf economies are teetering. So are global energy and fertilizer markets. They won’t recover soon. Globally, there are a total of about 850 supertankers used to transport oil from producers to the rest of the world. In October alone, 11 of them were badly damaged in Hormuz. At this pace, a global depression is imminent. A nuclear strike would radically accelerate the destruction. Fallout from a ground explosion at Pickax Mountain would contaminate the Persian Gulf, poisoning the water supply for 100 million people. And those are just some of the immediate consequences for the region. The rest of the world is every bit as exposed. No country other than the United States has ever used a nuclear weapon in war. Some would like to. An American nuclear attack on Iran would set a new precedent. The Russians have already told at least two other governments that an American nuclear strike on Iran would free them to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. Pakistan and India would be tempted to do the same against each other, as would North Korea against Seoul. After the first nuclear strike, World War Three is inevitable. That war would be short and final. We’ve been sleepwalking toward this moment for months. Since February, the administration has quietly rewritten America’s nuclear doctrine to make first use of so-called “battlefield nukes” easier and therefore more likely. No one in Washington in either party seems bothered by this. Now we’re on the brink of it. Close observers say Trump is likely to decide by next weekend whether or not to use nuclear weapons. That would be November 7, six days from now. To his credit, he’s hesitating. At the moment, Trump is listening to his vice president, JD Vance, and to his envoy and friend Steve Witkoff, both of whom argue a deal with Iran can be made. They’re right, though it won’t be simple. The Iranians are famously frustrating to negotiate with under any circumstances, and elements of that government have become more radical since Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his family were killed in February. After decades of isolation, even relatively moderate Iranian leaders seem confused by how decisions are made in the West. (There is a widespread belief in Tehran, for example, that the United States government controls Israel.) But overall, people who have spoken to decision-makers in Iran say there is consensus there that more war is bad for everyone and a deal is worth making. One group that hasn’t been consulted so far is the global population — the hundreds of millions of people who will be killed along with their children if Trump is pushed by Netanyahu into launching a nuclear strike next week. Now would be the time for them to speak up.

Florida currently has four Holocaust museums, with plans for four more announced since October 7. That would bring the total to eight Holocaust museums in a state with the second-largest Black population in the country, where politicians banned Black history!
