Only in the video game industry can some doofus tell you that selling a million copies of a game is a flop or didn't meet expectations so the IP is killed.
A million people bought that IP - it seems the "not meeting expectations" is an executive fuck up of not living in reality.
If you spent SO much money on something you NEED to sell more than a million to break even, you are already fucking up before you started.
Somehow this core piece of information got lost along the way. Somehow - being when people who don't make or play video games make the biggest decisions about how they get made, funded and distributed.

i cannot believe this isnt like, staged.... like how is this not staged!!! what do you MEAN all they apparently needed only 900k USD??? when the city council has a budget of 7b USD?????????? they just genuinely wanted to close the museum silently without anybody making a fuss
If you watch only one clip from the Philadelphia City Council hearing about the closure of the Academy of Natural Sciences, let it be this one. It — and I don't say this lightly — must be seen to be believed. #SaveTheAcademy

It's ugly watching people provide cover for EA.
Anytime you try to say EA destroyed Bioware, someone runs up to tell you how kind EA supposedly was and how they supported Bioware so much and give them so much money. It's NAUSEATING. 🤢
Remember how rightoids reacted the moment Trump got elected?
They amped up their cruelty and acted like they won for generations to come.. the tune change is so impressive, it just sucks that the Democrats will blow it because they wanna be Republican Lite

Probably my favorite episode. It has everything! Solid characterization, great layouts/shot choices, compelling guest characters, cult shit, and a rollercoaster ride showdown with Cthulhu himself!
This is Ghostbusters 3 as far as I'm concerned!
39 years ago today, The Real Ghostbusters episode "The Collect Call of Cathulhu" first aired! 👻 🚫
In this fan-favorite episode, the Ghostbusters find themselves fighting creatures in the sewers, chasing down cults, and researching comic books to aid their mission after the Necronomicon is stolen from the public library.

See?
These antiwoke cult leaders never cared about video games and certainly not about the industry.
It's all celebrating any layoffs
or games cancelled
or harrassing indie game devs out of cowardice
because they're utterly miserable and jobless.
And misery loves company.

It’s also indicative of just how good Republicans are at stirring up controversy over nothing. Look at everything Trump has gotten away with over the years, while Obama mentions the cheesecake factory and they make it a national story. They’re very very good at this.

Perhaps people have forgotten or were too young to remember but when conservatives swear to you that Obama was a divisive president, it’s because of stuff like this. He would say the most innocuous thing and we would get days of “Dem elitist” commentary from conservative media and pundits.
Again, it’s not lost on me that Obama compared Trump’s taste to that of Saddam Hussein in the same breath, and that Trump literally said he didn’t care about high gas prices the same day, yet none of that broke through. Because perceived threats to white cultural hegemony are actually what most of the last 10 years of politics have been about.
It’s the same reason why a Democrat’s career would be over for trashing Toledo, Ohio, why we still talk about Hillary’s “deplorables” gaffe, but Republicans say awful things about America’s largest cities and deny them federal funds and there’s barely a whimper of outrage.
the cheesecake factory discourse a back to the future reminder of what 2008-2016 was like on here. Obama makes funny joke revealing he's like the average American (fluent enough in gaudy chain restaurants to jest about a specific chain). GOPers decide it means he's not #oneofus. This goes on for days...

You are lying, just like the many others who keep repeating the same falsehood you are now spreading. This dispute had NOTHING to do with filming.
The Winter Park Police Department has released the bodycam footage. In it, the man who called the police tells the officers that the Black boy is very advanced and scores a lot of goals against the five-year-old white boys, as we all saw in the viral video.
He goes further. He says he took this three-year-old Black kid off the pitch because he is so good, and the parents objected because they had paid money for their kid to play football. He says the white parents were arguing with the boy’s parents.
He even lied to the police, claiming the boy was pushing other children. We all saw the videos. He never pushed anyone. He simply used his brilliant skills to dribble past them.
That is what started this, in the coach’s own words, on camera. So why are you lying?
Replying to @Shadaya_Knight
Actually the report was for the parents. They were told to stop recording because other parents don't feel comfortable their kids being on social media. But they refused so they call the police on them, then they made it seem like they called them for the child because that will trend. Now they were getting kicked out so they had to take the boy off pitch because they can't leave and leave the boy behind.

evergreen.
In a new poll, 15% of Americans said they believe between 1 and 5% of NCAA athletes are transgender.
14% think between it's between 6 and 25%.
Meanwhile, an NCAA spokesperson confirmed that the current number is "effectively" zero
