A clear sign that ANC government and EFF don't give a Shit about SAns, they hardly said anything about makhadzi while her rights are being dragged over in botswana.!! This is the proper timing to observe who to vote for! β at Sandton, South Africa

πΏπ¦β€οΈ MY SOUTH AFRICAN EXPERIENCE AN EXPERIENCE I WILL NEVER FORGET! πΏπ¦π³π¬
Honestly, my stay in South Africa was nothing short of AMAZING! ππ₯
From the moment I arrived, I experienced a beautiful country with so much to admire. The clean roads, automated systems, reliable clean water supply, and electricity that didn't go off even for one day during my stay left a lasting impression on me. π³π
Free Wi-Fi, impressive infrastructure, well-built stadiums, and a security system that made me feel safe were all part of the experience. But beyond the infrastructure, what touched my heart the most was the people! β€οΈπΏπ¦
The people of South Africa were lovely, welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. They made my stay even more special, and I am grateful for every moment, every smile, and every connection I made.
As a Nigerian, this journey gave me the opportunity to experience South Africa beyond what I had seen on social media. I came, I explored, I learned, I connected, and I created beautiful memories that I will cherish forever. π³π¬π€πΏπ¦
South Africa is truly a beautiful place, ! β€οΈπ
This journey was more than just the Soweto Derby; it was about culture, friendship, football, unity, and building bridges between Nigeria and South Africa. β½π€
Thank you, South Africa, for the love and hospitality. Until we meet again! π₯Ήβ€οΈπΏπ¦

I've been going through the DTIC response to Washington's AGOA decision, and honestly, some of these figures put the whole debate into perspective.
Did you know that in 2025, approximately 89% of South African exports to the US entered under ordinary WTO Most-Favoured-Nation terms? Only about 10% entered under AGOA, valued at roughly $1.7 billion, down from $4 billion in 2024.
And here's what makes this interesting: AGOA exports represented just 1% of South Africa's total global exports. π
Now, I'm not suggesting that losing AGOA won't hurt, particularly for affected farmers, manufacturers and workers. But can we please stop talking as though South Africa's entire economy is going to collapse on 1 January 2027? π
We're talking about a serious challenge for certain industries, not the end of the Republic!
And while we're discussing economic dependence, can we also talk about what America gets from its relationship with South Africa? According to the DTIC, South Africa supplies 12 of the 50 minerals the US considers critical to its industries. The department also says we supply approximately 70% of certain US medical isotopes used in cancer treatment. Then there are the more than 600 American companies operating in South Africa, supporting approximately 134,600 local jobs.
So this idea that AGOA is some charitable favour Washington bestows upon helpless South Africans is rather amusing. π
Trade relationships involve mutual interests, darlings. America has economic interests here too! π
But something else in the DTIC statement caught my attention. Minister Parks Tau says South Africa spent months negotiating with Washington, offering additional concessions while trying to respect our biosecurity requirements, WTO obligations and constitutional responsibilities.
Yet, according to the department, the US subsequently introduced new issues that hadn't formed part of the negotiations that began in 2025.πππππ
And this is where the DTIC's Butterfly Strategy becomes interesting. South Africa is pursuing additional export opportunities across the African Continental Free Trade Area, SADC, India, the EU, UK, ASEAN, MERCOSUR and China. Which is exactly what economic diversification should look like.
Not abandoning America. Not becoming dependent on China. Not imagining BRICS will magically solve every economic problem.
But building relationships across multiple markets so that no single trading partner has disproportionate influence over our economic future.

This is Zimbabwe's hockey team.
We are cursed with neighbours who neglect their own affairs, and try to be experts in ours.

Being Zimbabwean does not mean I must remain silent about issues affecting our neighbours. Africaβs progress is our collective concern, and equality should never be mistaken for divisive politics.

A policeman in Cape Town lives in a shack. An airport assistant lives in a shack. A bank teller in Cape Town lives in a shack. Same jobs. Same salaries. In Joburg, that same policeman owns a home in a middle-class suburb. Thatβs not a coincidence thatβs what DA governance does to a city. It prices out the people who keep it running. Guys what are you doing? βVoting resultsβ? An election that has not taken place cannot produce results. A newsroom should not need reminding of this. If these figures come from a poll or projection, identify the source and label them accurately. Presenting voter preferences as votes counted is a serious editorial failure.
You risk establishing a false benchmark against which actual results may later be judged, feeding suspicion when the outcome differs from the expectation your reporting helped create.
Withdraw this post and publish a clear correction. Then examine the editorial controls that allowed it through. Audiences should not have to supervise an "African" broadcasterβs grasp of basic election reporting.
The Democratic Alliance is leading the City of Tshwane voting results with 33.9%, followed by the African National Congress at 24.9%, as residentsβ voting preferences emerge. Tune in to #eNCA on #DStv403.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
These figures come from an eNCA MarkData poll asking Tshwane residents who they plan to vote for. They are not voting results. The local elections are on 4 November 2026.
