Tragedies like the recent death of United Healthcare’s CEO, Brian Thompson, underscore the growing challenges faced by those tasked with 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Our deepest condolences go out to Brian’s family, friends, and colleagues. In our conversations with security professionals tasked with safeguarding executives, a recurring theme emerges: the escalating threats driven by political unrest, disgruntled employees, unsatisfied customers, and even terrorist activity. 𝗔𝘁 Oosto, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿: 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲. We focus on prevention because we know that stopping incidents before they occur is the ultimate goal. Security teams are increasingly seeking tools and data that provide 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 to identify and neutralize threats before they escalate into 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹—𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗹—𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆. When threats come from known individuals, we can help detect them in crowds, from a distance, and in real-time—before they have a chance to do harm. We can also alert on potentially suspicious behaviors, such as loitering, crouching, or attempts to remain hidden. We alert teams to repeated appearances near an office or home, flagging potential risks before they materialize. And all of this is done with a commitment to privacy and ethical best practices.
