Russian disinformation machine is actively assisting Orbàn with the April elections. For example, this infamous AI-generated video has a Russian helicopter and the style is very similar to Russian productions.

This will be a case study in international relations for years to come.
A few days ago, US Treasury sanctioned a Russian-controlled bank (@IIB_Press) that Hungarian PM Viktor Orbán personally invited to relocate to Budapest. Subsequently, news broke about a possible next round of US sanctions - now directly targeting Orbán's circles.
Orbán's reaction? First, after spending years of defending it, he immediately threw the Russian-led bank under the bus. Then, after months of increasingly anti-American rhetorics, he suddenly realised that Hungary and the US are strong allies and share the same fundamental beliefs!
Well, this is a good reminder of the power of US sanctions, the dominance of US dollar in international finance - and how carrots and sticks work in diplomacy.
